PS4 can have the power, the games are and will be better on X1. Plus the Halo titles own just about everything on PS4.
These updates are one of the major reasons I bought an X1, aside from the number one factor of games. These updates coincide with patches to Windows 8 (same division now remember) which typically get pushed out on Patch Tuesday on the 2nd week of the month. MS is doing an admirable job. I've heard the update greatly improves UI speed. June update will have USB support. They will probably announce at E3.

I think the most likely candidate is another Spartan II such as Fred-104.

It could be one of the other Spartan 2s....Maybe Fred. Maybe he is sent out to find out what happened to Chief? He is perhaps the only Spartan that could truly challenge John. John however has the factor of luck, and has a slight edge in leadership.
I really hope 343i incorporates more of the story into the games. Halo 4 really excelled in this area. Halo 1-3 did a great job as well but Halo 4 really brought some of the Forerunner backstory/legacy to light.

Halo 4 Multi wasn't the same because it was fresher and faster. Go back and play Halo 3 and tell me if you honestly think it is better. Believe me as a long time Halo vet, it has not held up like you might think it has.
I think ONI has found a "replacement" for the Chief and needed someone that could hunt down the "rogue" Spartan. Neither Spartan IIIs or the new IVs are a match for Master Chief and starting up another Spartan (V?) program would be way too costly if the went with the previous method of conducting genetic trials, stealing children, flash cloning them, and augmenting them (high failure rate), then training them.
