I've heard a few people say that the HDMI cable included with the PS4 didn't work properly. I already had high quality HDMI 1.4 cables from my PS3 so I didn't even open the one that came with the PS4.
Sucks when you have problems, but glad yours was not anything with the console itself.
I think anyone giving a console a 1 star review is just a troll or someone with an agenda against that company. If this is genuinely the console they want to play games on, they would wait until they get the replacement unit and have actually used it. Isn't that what a review is for? How do you rate something a 1 star if you haven't even used it?

That's why I always complained about Time Warner, they would keep claiming that they were "increasing your download speed for free". And they did. I went from around 5Mb download to 8Mb... then a year or so later it was 10Mb and then it went up again to around 15Mb. But I kept saying I didn't want all of the extra download speed, instead they should increase the upload since it stayed at 512kb upload during all of those "free upgrades".

It is crazy, and that is the way Black Friday goes in the US, but you will have sometime 500- 1000 people or more storm the doors of a business trying to be first to get to the sale item they want. It's really sad that some have lost their life falling and getting trampled by the rushing crowd.

Well, I remember past console releases people would actually camp out in tents, sleeping bags, lawn chairs, etc for as much as 1 month ahead of the launch date. It was impossible to get one by walking in. I placed my pre-order immediately after Sony's E3 smackdown.

I still say the loss for EA is bigger than this one payment from MS. They could have wiped COD off the map and had all of those gamers buying their "Titan Fall". COD would have died quick, which is what EA has wanted for so long. They missed the boat, and I'm not sure that it will ever sail that way again. By the time they have their next chance, people will have moved on.
I think part of the Wii U's problem has been an identity crisis. Most people don't know it exists. People (casuals) who made the Wii so popular see it and say "Oh, a Wii with a new controller", thinking it's the same thing.

Actually, fwiw, they have built their backend servers for the cloud, and have talked about it in interviews where they described the Drive Club world as always changing and updating from the cloud.
So glad to hear him say that. I get so tired of people blaming all of their ineptitude on others. Nobody is willing to look into the mirror and take responsibility for their own actions, or lack of actions. It's about time someone told them they have a responsibility as parents.
I bought two of the one year subscriptions today, haven't tried to redeem them yet, but i'm still on my one month free. I can wait a bit and let others get in. A friend bought the 1 year subscription today also and had some issues with the server entering the code (in US) but it took it after a few minutes and he was happily downloading Uncharted 3 on his PS3.
It should work out in a few more hours. I suspect some of this is related to the Black Friday sale on PS+ ...

You would think they could fix that with a patch update to the system so that it reorders so that the update will download first before the install. Those install times I've seen in these few example videos are horrible. I hope for gamers sakes they can improve that somehow.

I have to agree. I laugh every time I see the Forza commercial that showcases a game that is "only possible on XBox 1" which we all know is a big fat lie. The only reason it's "only possible on XBox 1" is due to exclusivity. It has nothing to do with the PS4s capabilities.

Wow, this was one of the two games for Xbox that I actually wanted on PS4. I hadn't heard anything since the original "exclusive to Xbone" bit. They must have seen how well the PS4 is selling.
But that really is a small amount. Sony could put them out of business with a solid stock shipment to last through the holidays.
