It's one of those games when you just want to do some mindless wandering around... then again, it does kind of keep you thinking of how to survive, so maybe it's not so mindless. lol.
I liked it, especially for free. I kept starving though. I need to get back and give it another try.
It could just be a bad run of the sticks. Maybe the rubber didn't get made or applied to the proper specs or something. Stuff like that happens.
That's crazy how some people have it happening and others like mine are still like new. Maybe there was a "bad run" on a particular assembly line? Sony should be able to track back exactly where all of the faulty one's were manufactured. At least maybe they could send out some replacement sticks or something... IDK?
Probably so that they make some money and stay in business. But even if they charged for it, they have been very reasonable on game prices in the past I think.
I would ask, how many game consoles in the history of consoles have had backward compatibility? Not many of them.
The PS3 also had a TV tuner/DVR thing that was only released in Japan (and maybe Europe/Australia too?). I was looking forward to that one but it never made it to the states.
I could actually get on board for an "a la carte" service so that I'm only getting what I want to watch instead of the bazillion useless channels that cable tries to pass off on me.
Wonder where it will store your dvr recordings? To the cloud?
@Curtis92
I liked that game, but I sucked at it. My rig always ran out of fuel.
who remembers "Hot Chix 'n Gear Stix"?
Mine gets a little louder during heavy graphical scenes. I noticed it in Killzone, but not in COD:Ghosts (campaign on both).
Sounds like it revs up a bit but then quietens back down after a short bit. My PS3 did that when I played Red Dead Redemption too. At least I know it's working to keep the system cool.
Are you getting the 7.1 surround that way or just stereo sound? That's my question. I only have the original Pulse so I hope they are including it in the driver as well. Don't want to have to drop another $150 for a new headset.
Well, even if that's true, still good news for those who decided to buy the MS system. Congrats, because it should have been able to do more than what we have seen so far. Happy gaming.
300,000 of them :-)
I disagree with DLC that forces updates to the game (like COD) which make it impossible to finish the game to 100% without buying the extra stuff.
I think it has more to do with the fact that consoles are connected to a closed system and there is no open competition to lower prices. They are what they are and you can take it or leave it. They know you have no other market place to buy from so therefore you are forced to buy it at the prices they say you will buy it at. It's a monopoly and that will not change in their closed market ecosystem.
At my local Walmart yesterday, I finally saw the first PS4 on the shelf, and there was only one PS4. The stock guy was just pulling out of the isle when I walked up and there were 6 XBone's in the display case, and what looked to be about 15 or so XBone's left on the stock float he had, and I would guess he was taking them back to the stock room. I saw 0 extra PS4's on his cart.
Looks interesting. I did get the PS4 camera for Christmas. Didn't ask for it but I think it was something others knew I hadn't already purchased, and it was a surprise to open it. Oh well, I got it so I'll try to use it a bit. This Alien Buddy thing looks like it could keep me interested for a few minutes.
Kinda reminds me of Slimer though. Especially with that Ectoplasm Raygun behind him.
If I were Sony, I would be paying for professional data recovery on those hard drives. That's a whole lot of time and effort down the drain. It has to be worth the price of data recovery.
lol... I hadn't thought of that either. But anyway, it's all for a short time even if it does happen. Welcome aboard all new PS4 gamers!! And Merry Christmas!
Add to that, when the major networks were doing their "what's hot this Christmas" edition (after the launch of both systems) they had a full XBox one out of the box setup with kinnect and a PS4 (boxed) sitting behind it almost out of sight. If I didn't know what i was looking for I wouldn't have known there was a PS4 there because they ALL hid it behind the XBox 1. The hottest selling system of all time, and yet every single network in the US showed a bias toward the X...
Well, yeah, pretty much you are going to look like a dork. Kinda like people who try to sing while they have headphones on and they sound all off key. haha.
I would at least try this though, but it would have to be under $200.
That's what I was about to say. You gain more than $100 value in free games on the PS3 by being a Plus member. So buy the PS4 and Plus, get better hardware for only $400 and still get free games for BOTH systems. Win - Win.
