It would have to be "sold" since they are out of stock everywhere.
I don't think he is one to hide. I'm sure they want to get the specific (facts) about what is causing problems for those who have experienced it. Better to make an informed statement, which can only come after some research and troubleshooting from Sony's part. Personally, I think this is all being blown WAY out of proportion. People need to be patient and follow through with their warranty procedure.
Not saying some people are not having issues, but I don'...
They are the vocal minority. And yes, it does appear a few people have had some issues, and I tend to believe that it does have something to do with the day one patch, but these are the things that happen with launch systems. Sony will get it worked out.
I wonder if those same people will be as concerned over the XBox when we have to go through these stories again next week?
I hope mine works okay. I'll be picking it up in a n hour
But it wont put Micrsoft in the lead... It will cancel out next week when an XBox 1 gets smashed in the streets. It happens at every console release. I personally think that those people have a strong mental problem and should be admitted for treatment.
And thats why they will never make consoles obsolete. Most people just want to jump in play a game, not spend time (and lots of money) constantly upgrading to keep up with patches that work with their hardwre, etc only to discover that they cannot match the other guys out there who are buying $1000 video cards, top shelf ram, etc.
LOL, go ahead and vote me down. I know this is fact. I gamed on the PC for a number of years. Its nice, but just not worth the extra money and...
Yeah and it's not just everyone logging on, I would venture that a good number of those are hitting the day one patch and trying to grab their free games, etc all at once. Not to mention those trying to create a new account setup on PSN for the first time.
Well, he already said it had a white line, which is the right color in normal operation mode. He has yet to describe what is his definition of "bricked". Normally that is a term used to describe a machine that cannot boot into a normal state, and is beyond repair condition. So I think people are misusing the term.
.
Or "Gamers getting sick from new electronic smell of PS4"
:-)
Well, if I were to guess, I might wonder is someone from the past would Crash the Sony party?
No portus interuptus!
Yeah, and if you do it too quick, it will be over before the fun even begins. PS4 needs a slow hand.
That was exactly what I thought. I bet they put a bad cable in or were hooking it up hastily and pushed in at an odd angle and bent the pins. They shouldn't be that sensitive, but I know USB pins can bend easily like that too by plugging things in awkwardly.
They would never admit to Sony that's what happened if that were the case. But if I tried to put a cable in and it didn't feel like it was going in right, I would never keep pushing until it went in like h...
I didn't think just storing stuff on an external drive was a problem, I thought what they said was it would not support installing games on external drives as extra storage.
Except Xbox fans...
I should have started me a "video games news site" so that I could publish stories like this and collect all of the click through ad revenues. I could have paid for a truck load of PS4's and XB1's with all of that ad money.
Best Buy says they will start processing preoders up to two hours before launch, but no machines given out until 12:01
Someone waiting in line thanks you.
it will all get sorted out in about 13 more hours. lets see what the reports say by tomorrow evening.
I really don't think it matters which one has higher rate of failure, as long as it is within a reasonable % per units sold.
