that's the whole purpose of negative press, to try to make people get scared and cancel their orders. it's called scare tactics, and it will not work on me. i am buying a system with a year warranty, so if it fails fwor any reason, I can rest assured it is covered. That goes for any system, PS4 or XB1
They don't want you to remember that these things (if not software problems) are covered under warranty. They are still butthurt over having to buy 5 XB360's so they are trying to take a dig. Shows how bitter they are.
No it won't. People who buy new launch systems know things happen. Not only with consoles. It happens with all electronics and all manufacturers.
Microsoft are definitely scared of the PS4's momentum because they have their minions trying to tear it down at breakneck pace.
The 360 had over 50% failure rate on RETAIL units. Big difference. Early units of all systems always have a few hiccups. But you want people to run around like chicken little declaring the sky is falling because of a couple of issues with pre-release machines. Dumb.
If by next week, for what ever reason 50% of the PS4 machines were to suddenly fail, then you would have a point. Right now, you are just trolling.
Oh yeah, no doubt. I don't buy MS products, but I don't tell people who do want them they shouldn't buy it. They know what they are buying and it's their money.
I'll be glad when both systems are out so they can lay off the crap spam stories.
So this is like the 10th "Why you shouldn't buy the PS4" crap I've seen in the last couple of days. Where are all of the "Why you shouldn't buy the XBox1" stories? Someone is burning the midnight oil trying to keep the PS4 down... It won't work.
MS paid them to keep it that way until after reviews were done. You don't have to wonder. Rest assured that this has always been the way MS has done business, and why most people hate them.
@ the disagree
You are probably too young to remember the days when Microsoft strong armed shop owners that if they sold a competitors product next to MS's that they would pull their products from the shop and not allow them to sell. Disagree all you want, but ...
Agreed. I bought a Dell Bluetooth keyboard and mouse combo for my PS3 when I first got it. I played UT III which supported kb/mouse gameplay. But other than UT III, I used it primarily for typing text conversations and it did make the XMB much nicer to use.
Hmm.. Wonder if the PS4 will support that BT KB/Mouse. I'm going to try it and see.
yep, and there will be similar reports when the XBox 1 starts reaching consumers. thats what your warranty is for.
They have obviously never seen a PS3. That or they are just butthurt 12 year old xbox boys voting evryone down to be annoying.
PS3 had this same thing but you had to go into the "whats new" section to see it. There was also an option to turn off the "whats new" item if you didn't like it. There were NO ADS on the main UI and I never saw things like McDonalds or maxipads in the "whats new section"
Not the same thing at all.
same as the PS3
I've seen it in at least one of their commercials for XB1...But that will be their flagship this time.
That, and many PS4 owners will still have their PS3 which can still do all of that... But still, they do need to add it back as soon as possible. It's kinda going backwards if they didn't.
Same thing I said when I saw the title. I completely forgot about it, and I even thought it looked pretty good when they announced it.
MS is too busy pushing Titanfall.
Still, good numbers for the PS4. That will likely grow after the game sales this week. I picked up Ghosts and didn't even want it, but selected it as the third "free game" in the Amazon deal.
@NoWayOut
Ageed about $15 scam. I haven't bought a COD map pack since the original Black Ops.
if you miss the deal on Amazon, check Target
Yeah, I would be crying too if that's all I was left with.
Hopefully they can get her one reserved for her kids.
All kids should have a good Christmas.
Got mine. Killzone, AC4, and... COD. (I know I said I wasn't going to, but it's free)
Palven you are wrong, the PS4 has also been played by the public for weeks at various shows, and then in stores.
