I thought that the graphical difference would be minimal, but the missing shadows made that one picture of the PS3 version look really weird. There were no shadows under the dock! It was quite visible too.
Graphics don't make a game though, so buy whichever based on your preferred platform.
Why blame it on the seller or buyer? They both seem happy so what is the problem. Seriously people always think that they can butt into others bizness.
If the sellers were hoarding it, then that is an entirely different issue, but these were given away as a pre-order. Just a case of the smart outwits the non-planner.
I think it is pretty clear that there is a shortage as it is reported by multiple retailers/etailers.
I think the issue is more when it seems available and manufacturer are reporting a lack thereof. There is also a conspiracy that Nintendo and in this case Sony held back stock to artificially create a shortage to stimulate demand longer. I think that is BS though....
I only finished episode one, and the game is so far amazing. The atmosphere is done so well. I have yet to see any faults, but it might just be to early.
With that said, I love the idea of episodic content, but hope the game has a satisfying ending.
In terms of sale, this game didn't get a midnight opening. The local Best Buy I went too whom is usually really busy only had 2 pre-orders for the Limited Edition. Both, whom was mine!
The LE ...
I haven't seen to many things in my life that are original, but most great things aren't original. The iPhone, iPod, Windows, and etc... aren't original. Surely there were operating systems, smart phones and portable mp3 music player before those, but that should rob them of their achievement that nobody else was able to.
We will have to wait and see how Natal does, but I am for one excited about the technology.
Agreed! I would also like to add that Natal is doing for gaming what Wolfenstein did for 3D gaming!!!
Hideo Kojima, known for creating the Metal Gear Solid franchise, had even higher praise. "[It's] like the 2D to 3D shift...that was the degree of shock I felt." He even believes the technology could expand beyond games and that "it has the potential to change lifestyle dramatically."
Inafune, known as the father of Mega Man and produce...
a) Well what stops a developer from still cutting the content from the game and charging you for it as DLC later date?
b) What if the developer put in extra man power (i.e. get more contractors, new hires etc) to create this extra content that they now expect to recoup their cost on?
Here are a few things also to consider:
1) DLC released earlier on is likely to attract more customers still interrested in the game before they move on to the n...
There was a video here on n4g that showed a guy breakdancing while Natal picked up the moves. Another video showed the behind the scenes of the skeleton mapping and the avatar recognition. Also on n4g.com....
Do a few searches on your own, but I'm not sure you were really interested in the first place.
In terms of MS releasing information to the public, that is their issue. You will undoubtedly be able to try it in store or even buy it to decide for your...
I really think the newer units don't have nearly as much problems as the older ones. Personally, i haven't had an Xbox 360 fail on my, but know a few that did. All of them were pre-falcon units. Where on Jasper revision so, it should be minimal.
On a side note, I could not find this survey that they mentioned at NoFussReviews.com. Frankly a sample of 500k is humongous I would like to know how thy conducted the survey especially since their site is so darn amateurish i...
That was before everyone and their mother found out the Xbox 360 version was a rushed port.....
Nothing startling about it. Profits speaks the loudest and you would be a fool to ignore the PS3/Xbox 360 right now.
....
It seems a lot of non-gaming sites are getting hands-on with Natal as well....
Do they ever?
I mean, I don't think most consumers care about or know about minor hardware revisions under the hood.
It is immaterial, as they aren't stating that they are hoping the device will be ready, more like we are trying to ready space to setup a stand.
So far, of what we have seen it seems the technology is just fine. If it turns out to be a turd, just don't buy it. Problem solved!
Why speculate on what ifs based on misquotes, rumors and speculations... When the product is released, the public will surely scrutinize it, but in the end customers will vote wi...
Well you take it from a representative sample, meaning from all the competitors. Not just the customers of one company and asking them if it was due to the selling point?
That is just stupid! As I said, would you ask a person that bought a DVD player if DVD was one of the reason why you bought the DVD player? Now in an effort to understand who your customers are and what they think, it makes sense to ask them why. To proclaim, it was a wise decision though is moronic!!!
Natal is expected this Holiday for most likely the U.S. and not sure about other regions. That might be why they are talking about it that way. Furthermore, the article is taking the comment out of context:
“It was in limited form [at last year's TGS],” says Xbox Japan boss Takashi Sensui in an interview with Nikkei. “This year, we’d like to ready a space for a wide audience to experience it.”
Which says, it has limited exposure last year so we are ensuri...
I think the more correct term, is PC is dying for hardcore gamers. The casual space is flourishing and MMO/RTS is still best on PC!
I don't think PS3 is eliminating anyone. Let's face it, Wii now has extensive branding and recognition as "THE" motion control console. It captured the mindshare of children, sentimental adults and even the retired.
Xbox 360 has a low entry point with great value at the Xbox 360 Arcade level, still has plenty of price cuts up its sleeve and is doing just fine. It's user base is consisting of hardcore gamers.
PS3 is just hitting it's ...
Yeah, WTF! It is not in full 1080p!
It is so darn pixelated, not fitting of the PS3....
