I think it is sufficient to say that more than 50% of Xbox Live subscribers are Gold members. That is a pretty darn high number for satisfied and paying members.
Also, the PSN numbers are just that for PSN including online only accounts (people without a Playstation, but want to reserve their nick name, forum users?) and PSP accounts. I also think that prior to Trophies, I suspect a large portion of PS users to create multiple accounts as they aren't as attached to their user nam...
They did give you an extra red controller and a host of other things not included in the elite model normally:
- ***EXTRA*** red controller + headset
- 12-month Live
- RE5 game (albeit, not the Collector's Edition)
- SSF2HD
- RE5 Theme

For the price, that is steal for a Limited Edition Console with all the extra stuff....
Major Nelson confirmed that the RE5 Bundle will be Jasper.

From what I can tell, other than GameStop the sharp drop in the companies are nothing but market movement as usual. Well at least in this turbulent market.
A 5% drop or gain for the day means nothing unless it is long term trend. When the Dow can loose more than 5% drop in a day, there is nothing wrong with a company dropping less.
Basically, this doesn't mean anything and if anything as a whole the gaming industry dropped less than the Dow.
This is too small of a sample to even make any proper deduction from.
@darkpower
Look, I'm not here to argue with you about what console is better. That is up to each individual person. My point is that you draw conclusion from things out of context and seemingly (to me) throws out stuff that is significant.
It is obvious in this case that this is spun around. Even fanboys can't deny this. I mean come on, this is taken out of context and mid sentence. Read the article and suddenly it sounds completely different and nothing like what th...
I really respect GG for really listening to their gamers. They have done an amazing job responding to their customers!!!
However, I'm wondering if the control tweaks are just a lot of complaint about nothing and that the tweaks might just change the game for the worse to please a minority. The controls seemed fine for me prior to the patch, but I haven't tried it after yet....
Am I missing something here?
darkpower just yesterday tried to spin that the Fallout 3 increased sales to rank 1 on amazon.com had little to do with the super deal of the day at $35. You can read his comments and article here: http://www.n4g.com/NewsPend...
What is the Fallout 3 sales on the PS3 today at amazon.com? It is at number 7 at a significantly reduced price of $47 and sells better than KZ2. Go figure...

That pikachu guy was funny, the other kind of nauseating.
Then it is time for Sony to innovate and patent their own stuff. I'm sure Sony have no lack of talent that can come up with ideas.
I just think that Sony didn't foresee that online gaming was such a big factor and MS coming from a PC background understood this well. Thus the landscape we have now.
Well, if you buy a Mac you are also buying a service plan for the operating system. I don't use Macs in too much and don't like Apple (or their customers, but that is for another topic), but man drool over their products.
Anyway, a short while back I had to install one of the Adobe Creative Suites and Mac OSX required an update. Software wouldn't install without the update, so I said OK, I will just upgrade like I do on Windows. To my surprise I was forced fork over $80 for the u...
It is considerably cheaper to get a skin... It is ridiculous what some would pay for certain things. Then again I did pay $670 for my MGS4 LE console that later went on sale for $400. I felt pretty ripped of by Konami.
Competition is always good. Without competition we wouldn't have Xbox Live, Achievements/Trophies, Wii (waggle controls) and advanced hardware with oddball architecture like the PS3.
Thanks to competition we lost PS2 BC on PS3's. PS3 is the only console I know of that lost features instead of adding them. Too bad, and I refuse to pay $130 for a almost 10 year old console. They need to drop the price on that thing, especially since I paid my dues for the PS3 already.
Or you could just get a Wii. It is cheaper than a PS3, has Wi-Fi, online play and plays games... It also has much better waggle control. So what is your point?
On another note, I really dislike this gamedaily site, because they always have like three lines of real text on each page, just to get more page views and adverts.
I think it really bottles down to the build as Kushan said. The PS3 and PC version is closer, while the 360 version was delayed. Thus it got the most recent build (at the time). Patching it now would be a monumental task for incremental changes. Epic would probably just want to work on updates for Gears 2 instead rather than patch a game that isn't very popular on the 360. The PS3/PC patch was probably started on while the 360 was in development, but at some point got forked off. I'm just a...
I agree, not bad at all. Good for Sony!
On the other hand, this is one of those MS biased articles posted by Kotaku again! /sarcasm
I totally agree with death.
That is my point all along, time and time again it is proven that once a game studio is purchased it falters then get consolidated. All you get out of it is some IPs and usually the IP isn't even used well. See when you purchase a company you gain it's talent, but no guarantee that you will be able to keep the talent.
A better strategy is to fund 3rd party studios to make your IPs. You get to keep the IP and bring in a new studio to make y...
What did you say? lol....
yeah, I bought this game under all the hype and to me the game feels like CoD4...
Of course I would take all your guys words here as opposed to someone actually pointing out things I can try out myself and verify. /sarcasm
I thought it was weird why people complained about low res textures and the terrible looking flame coming out of the flame thrower. Now we know... It is all a cheat!
Frankly none of it matters! Go play your games!
