What you are saying is true, but it affects the rest of the world as well not just Europe. My comment was in reference that it was priced right relative to living standards of your country.
Frequently these price comparison is done on a dollar to some foreign currency that does not take into account living standard factors and higher cost of doing business due to local consumer protection laws and higher taxes.
Although, I'm not for a price increase obviously I don'...
European game pricing is just fine relative to the cost of living and earning power.
Have a price issue, take it up with your government since they give employees too many rights and tax the cr@p out of everyone.
Wow, 1vs100 is number 7 on the list. I tried it and it was fun, but can't see myself playing it alone though.
60fps should make the game butter smooth! The resolution shouldn't be a big factor considering the graphics itself isn't exactly like a movie. Resolution is over rated, but 60fps should make the game controls extremely responsive!
I'm hyped for this game!!!
edit: @G3TDOWN above
Graphics do matter, but only to a certain level. Generally graphical differences between consoles in the same generation isn't earth shattering unless we are comparing it to the super u...
It seems the trend now is to come up with an old rumor with a link bait, pull out some old news and debunk it.
Good job! /sarcasm
I personally like to install the game, it saves wear and tear on the system. However, I detest mandatory installs. I have limited space on my 40GB PS3. Installs should be optional. If you don't want the install put up with the long load times, but don't force them.
However, sometimes this is not possible due to technical requirements of the game, sadly.
Yes, he licensed it away and did some bad business moves. I don't think he was Still, it doesn't change anything that improvement or direct copying as long as it is of more value to consumer is good for everyone.
Imagine if book printing was patented and the patent lasted a 1000 years.... we would all be illiterate! Inventions should benefit society and the inventor can get a patent to protect his interest.
"(I bet that guy was a microsoft employee) " -a_sq...
Why is improving not a commendable thing? I mean if all these companies could see the value in their invention (or should I say innovation) they wouldn't let me MS copy it and make it valuable to consumers by gaining first mover advantage and patents.
There is nothing wrong with copying and improving.
I don't care if it is an upgrade or not. If I bought Windows XP and it came with SP1, but my software needed SP3. I would have no problem installing it after I get a free download from MS. With Apple, they call it an OS upgrade and force me to pay for an upgrade.
Whatever you call it, I'm still extorted to pay for the update or upgrade. MS could equally have called SP2 an upgrade because it included a host of new features including built-in firewall.
If the word 'upg...
I would not be concerned about this at all. Do you think that innovative developers are suddenly going to risk their franchise reputation and sales to introduce new mechanices without considering how it fits in. Furthermore, the fact that this is an accessory means that the developer can't rely on it existing on all 360s!
Problem solved!!!
"for a gamer like me, delays are very good, they give me time to save up the cash"
not only will it not disappear from shelves until you get the cash, but it is likely to be reduced in price as well! Double bonus! You got money and it is cheaper! Too bad it got delayed.
I was looking forward to this game, but wasn't planning to buy until it hits below $20-30 anyhow.... I got huge backlog of games.
No it is $600 with the laptop you bought from Apple.
Those small fees for the OS updates are what I call holding me hostage. I have run into cases where I cannot install a piece of software I bought without paying Apple $75 (if I don't remember wrong) to upgrade the OS so it is now compatible with the software.
Another point with Open Source is, it doesn't protect you from malware or other insidious behavior. Example is the open source pdf printer software "pdfCreator":
"Users have reported that this software changes their computer settings. PDFCreator's end-user-license-agreement states that the software will "modify your Microsoft Internet Explorer and/or Mozilla Firefox browser settings for the default search engine, address bar search, "DNS error" page,...
I guess I can see that people have commonly associated paid for service means no advertisement, but the advertisement is relevant. If they started showing irrelevant ads, then I would complain, but I personally prefer the ads. They show me what is upcoming and almost could be considered relevant information rather than ads.
For instance I didn't realize that The Secret of Monkey Island came out without the ads.
Perhaps a solution to it is the ability to turn it off,...
That means that when GameStop approaches the consumer via email for instance and offer them a pre-order incentive or should I say bribe to get you to buy something. That doesn't sound right does it?
That is because bribes are INAPPROPRIATE and frequently revolves around money being passed around. I'm certain Sony and any other console manufacturer do the same things. Otherwise you will see most developers will publish for all platforms especially since Xbox 360 and PS3 demograph...
Maybe he is just saying the next Xbox bundle or something. Like version 3.4+ or a play on the "motion plus".
Doesn't mean anything!
I'm of the belief that the market will correct itself. Screw over your customer and they will eventually revolt.
From all I have seen most of the customers seem to be happy and the most unhappy onces seems to always complain about 2-3 things:
a) RROD which is justifiable, but now a days is a non-issue.
b) Pricing on various item, most notably DLC and Xbox Live Gold. Well if you don't like it, don't buy it. There are perfectly other great alternativ...
So keeping a game exclusive is fine, but having it on multiple platforms is dirty tactics to steal exclusives and not a smart business decision that any moron would do.
Furthermore, why is it so freaken important that a game is exclusive other than to feed your immature elitist ego?
Fact is no matter of moaning here is going to change anything. The market has spoken so get used to it!!!
I thought I saw a soundtrack in the Japanese version?
Full details here: http://www.andriasang.com/e...
It includes a soundtrack and a downloadable costume as well (as part of a pre-order incentive).
I'm so torn, but $120+ after shipping is a little steep for a game....
"Protest and fight it not realising that the average consumer 'protests' by simply not buying.....which in turn only drives prices higher in most cases to make up for the dwindling sales."
That does not seem right. Everything is priced according to supply and demand. If a product is not in demand it's price will go down, not up. If an item wasn't selling, the store will clearance it out at a lower cost and not restock forcing the manufacturer to rethink their strategy. ...
