oh who cares. When I was a kid I spent hours and hours playing with legos. This is lego for the younger generation but with more ability to create things. I personally don't like to play Minecraft because it's an enormous time sink, but I can see why kids do.

Sony embracing all of this just means I won't be visiting the indie section of the playstation store on my PS4. It's going to be full of garbage.
The linked tweet says nothing about graphics, and MS has always said it would be used for asynchronous types of things such as AI or calculations for things that don't need to be done in real time. Indirectly that may free up resources that would impact graphical capabilities, but really we're just talking about offloading some percentage of CPU calculation to a server.
Those that call BS on what MS is trying to do don't really understand it and probably shouldn't be writing comments on it other than 'I don't understand'.
From what I read, the author got his/her opinion from looking at youtube videos of game play and hasn't actually played the game. Good job on coming to an opinion on how boring a game will ultimately be based upon a few minutes of video and not actually playing the game yourself.
You are grossly oversimplifying everything in favour of the PS4. We all know it's more powerful hardware but you are wilfully misleading people on just how much more powerful it is. It really isn't as big a difference as you claim.
