I think the new controller is great, but I don't like the dumb light on the back of it. It's going to reflect on the TV and be annoying. Also the light will be largely useless since most people won't bother with the camera. I hope there's a way to turn the light off to save battery and so it won't reflect off the TV/walls.
You have such a short memory and you make no sense. Remember the whole online only plan that nobody liked? It was actually pretty original. Kinect is an original idea, there's nothing quite like it with any other competitor.

I am glad they are including it, however they had said the Kinect costs about the same price as the Xbox One itself. so if they removed it, the price would probably come down more than just $100.
Just theorizing here, but let's just say all the above is true and if they did remove kinect.. if the One happened to be $300 against the $400 PS4, what would people say then?
I gave you an agree even though I personally am interested in trying it out. I don't think the average person cares about it, but it is possible that if it is as good as they say it is, and they keep supporting it and diff companies keep trying new things, it could end up being worth it in the end.
Maybe it's a bit of a risk to include it in the box but I think it could very well pay off for the people that want to try something new.

How come when they listen to their customers you feel it's a bad thing? Probably because you were never interested in buying one in the first place. As a person buying an Xbox One and a PS4, I'm happy that MS has listened to customer feedback and changed nearly everything I didn't like about the system.
Well they did completely change management. That being said, I like this new change, a lot of people were asking for it. This means if my Kinect breaks I won't be screwed and can still use the system. Also the tinfoil hat people should be able to sleep easier and that particular argument can die.
Just don't think it would make sense for more than 4, both prior games were designed on this.

Other things that have external power supplies..
Wii U, every laptop currently on the market. Every tablet and cell phone. But yeah, must be a stupid antiquated idea that nobody uses anymore.
PS2 Slim had one. When the PS3 and PS4 power supply dies (as it is usually the first thing to die in an electrical surge), you get to ship the whole thing back to Sony. On the 360/One, you can ship back the power supply and buy a new one while waiting and still be playing. It's a good design decision. It's called modular design.
