XIII-2 was a game's who's premise was design around the idea that it could be created in a relatively short time and high profitability, creating another game within XIII's universe to address the complaints of the original from the fans. From a Business decision, making this game was not only a smart move in terms of profitability which is what all companies aim for, but for reassuring the fans that their voices about the direction they want the Final Fantasy s...
I did too. It's because Square listened to the fans they produced what appears to be a much better game than XIII. The only thing that worries me is will they *continue* to listen to what the fans want? If they are, FFXV should be something really special.
If you do some of the side quests and catch the monsters in this area, level up a bit, you can easily get about an hour to an hour and a half +/- out of this demo.
How is it that people manage to FNC sucks, when they've only played 1 game in the entire series so far (XIII).
agreed, Capt-Fuzzy-Pants. Ranma1 goes to EVERY FFXIII-2 article and says "LOL Its bad u guise!1"
"there is an option to make the cursor default to the Abilities line in combat rather than the Auto-Battle line."
#2, Turning the Cursor to Abilities instead of Auto Battle was a feature in the original XIII. So a lot of the people who complained about Autobattle, I was thinking "You know...you can turn it off, right?"
Irrational Final Fantasy Fans:
"I HATE Final Fantasy spin offs.--->WHERE IS VERSUS XIII?"
I'm not saying I want a Final Fantasy XIII-3 or anything. But I Do want FFXIII-2 to be a good RPG because I want to play a good RPG. It does me nobody any real good if this game is awful.
Strange to say, but my favorite feature out of all the new and returning features is MogClock.
Battles in XIII would drag on forever at times. Staggering an enemy would sometimes seem to take a long time. Mogclock though allows for battles to go by a lot faster by giving you things like Haste and preemptive strike.
You can also run from battles now easier than XIII and without having to get into the battle first and then waiting to escape them after the loadi...
Then why did people sing a different song when relatively unknown sites gave Uncharted 3 a 6-8? No one argued that the professional reviews were compromised or purchased then. Is it such an inconceivable notion that various people have different feelings of what a good game is to them?
I didn't say whether or not XIII or XIII-2 was good or bad.
I'm saying the people who dismissed the perfect Japanese scores from Famitsu and Dengeki because they said they didn't count for whatever reason they listed about Japanese reviews and them waiting for the western one to count... will count this one from a much less established and reputable source.
Now...Watch carefully at what we're about to witness. Everyone who wants this game to fail is going to say this is an accurate review....Even though all the positive ones from Famitsu and Dengeki giving it perfect scores, they argued didn't count because they don't weigh as heavy as western reviews.
You post that on every XIII-2 article. LOL.
They're merely cosmetic, however.
"The reviewer is particularly critical of the game’s story, describing it as “laughable and borderline insulting” and states that the game “screws it up at every turn”.
Juba even said that it’s one of his favorite RPGs from a mechanical standpoint. He believes that “If you can detatch yourself from the absurd story, the wealth of content and fun mechanics are extremely satisfying”."
Interesting. So they got the gameplay right, but not the story? I...
His Videos were pretty good, the only problem I had was the over sensationalized headlines he'd use to get us to click.
The Cover Art is awesome. Would've made great Box art too.
...Vita launches next month in the West. Kitase confirmed the game was still in Early development and we haven't even so much as seen a screenshot. I *highly* doubt it.
1. Is it just as linear?
No. In fact, it may be the least linear Final Fantasy in quite some time. There are 9 different ending depending on what you do and the decisions you make in the game.
2. Is the "romance" between snow and lightning still like watching 2 bricks fall in love?
Snow and Lightning aren't in love, but they don't really appear on the same screen for most of the game because Lightning is in a different Realm...
Versus XIII? I'm still wondering what happened to my Western localized Type-0--a COMPLETED game we still don't even have a date for.
Bill Gates once said something to the effect of "If you're going to pirate, pirate *our* products. You guys don't get it. The reason they make remarks like this isn't because they don't want people to buy their games, but its essentially free viral marketing. They will increase the game's popularity through word of mouth.
