As expansive and open ended as I know the monster system could be in comparison to a human party...I would've much rather preferred an entire human party. Honestly, that is my only real disappointment. Game looks great so far.
I'm assuming you didn't play FFXIII. lol. It's their Eidolon Crystal. They have to break it open in order to summon their Eidolon. Everyone's Crystal is shaped differently, Lightning's is shaped like a Rose.

You can say what you want, But this to me is definitely in the top Final Fantasy Openings Segments of all time. My personal Favorites being 8 and 10.
wow. Versus XIII still on this list even after 6 years. That is impressive.
This Actually isn't the entirety of the opening. Not to spoil too much, but there are basically 3 different playable sections as Lightning during the opening. It is really impressive, and you guys won't believe some of the awesome set pieces they have going in this introduction where you can control Lightning.
Honestly, the playable sections combined with the incredible cut scenes you'll see during it make it one of my favorite video game opening scenarios.
Reading your past posts on every Final Fantasy XIII-2 article, I can tell that you definitely want the game to be bad.
And then you go on and hype Versus XIII till no end, while criticizing the media for saying this game looks good so far when they've only played the opening hours thus far--But obviously they haven't played a Single second of Versus XIII and you write about how much better it'll be on every article.

Yes, Versus XIII will restore Final Fantasy, even though Versus XIII couldn't be any further from a traditional Final Fantasy than you can imagine. With the except of a World Map, not much about Versus XIII is more Final Fantasy.

Dude. No Not only was XIII-3 confirmed to not be real ( http://www.finalfantasy.net... But also, they would not switch from using Crystal Tools and having the establish technology and cheap development (which is the whole point of making a sequel) to Unity. lol.

Nah MimeTime, it's called Final Fantasy Type-0. While Versus XIII promises a lot there's still some mystery to it... Type-0 is something we can already play. And as someone who's played the Japanese version, trust me, Type-0 is the REAL FFXIII.
XIII-2 gives me a lot of hope they are listening fans a little more than they were before. I hope they continue to listen all our feedbacks and pleas for Final Fantasy XV and BRING BACK THE OVERWORLD MAP.
