I like both. To be honest, I like when Final Fantasy very fast sometimes like X-2 and XIII, but I also like very traditional FFX. I also 12's, and the ATB system of 4-9. I think Final Fantasy does better when it changes up its formula BUT stays true to being Final Fantasy.

I think action combat in final Fantasy is fine. XII and XIII's battle systems played itself sometimes and that turned a lot of people off however.

Final Fantasy can be more action o...

There are lots of Moogles, Chocobos and returning classic FF elements. The only that makes me sad that they didn't return was the original victory fanfare and prelude. But yeah, Mog Tossing is pretty cool.

GodMars, you come to every final fantasy thread and troll it. You obviously don't like Final Fantasy, and no one ever agrees with you...I have no idea what you get off of being here.

@Snookies--Nomura has stated that after Final Fantasy Versus XIII, he wants to focus exclusively on developing Kingdom Hearts games. So I don't think that'll happen.

I think Kitase should return as director. He was the director of VII, and he did a damn good job.

Its sold over 600k now total, and I think it will sell at these sort of numbers across NA and PAL regions, and will sit it at roughly 2 million. Which is of course fantastic--but piss poor for a Final Fantasy. Which usually sells ~2 +/- million in each region alone.

A couple of things That I can think of:

1) Yoichi Wada--While many of Square Best like Kitase, Tabata and Nomura are still there, Wada has proven time and again that he isn't properly managing this company.

2) Toriyama directing the main series--He's not an entirely bad director. But Tabata (The man behind Final Fantasy Type-0) is a much better director. Kitase was also the director of 7, and he's quite excellent as well. Toriyama's biggest ga...

Are you serious? 8, 9 and 10 are incredible. The only Problem 'Square Soft' ever had was the spirits within.

Choosing to do a Final Fantasy movie wasn't a bad idea, but choosing to do a Final Fantasy movie that didn't resemble the games or a follow up to a specific game was a terrible choice.

Talk about taking it the wrong way. We're not being prejudice against gays, but taking his character and them making gay would be a very big change. For example--I'm black. But I don't think Nathan Drake should be black in Uncharted 4. Obviously, its not his character.

You guys gotta be reasonable. You want them to remake 6, 7, 8 and 9 in full HD for current gen consoles? A remake is fine every now and then, but I want to Square Enix to make new Final Fantasy's that were as good as though, not just go back to the past.

Has anyone else wondered what it'd be like to see a Western Studio take on the JRPG? I've always wanted to see something like that. The original worlds, characters, stories and colorfulness of a JRPG with the open ended and freedom giving designs of a Western RPG--it could be incredible.

Yeah. It's cheap. The only down side to UDK when compared to Unity, is that UDK is PC, Mac and iOS--where as Unity also has Android and now Flash support.

Thank you! That means a lot :D Surprisingly, it's only me. lol. I 3d modelled, designed and programmed everything you see. I've been working on this game for about 7-8 months, and I also plan on heading to Steam like you. ^__^

and I'm also considering an iPhone port of the game.

$5000 is a lot, when UDK's start up is free and only $100 when you want to sell. Your game looks pretty interesting. Here's mine with UDK:

Personally, I prefer UDK. Unity is a great engine, but the cost to entry is just so high, it's hard for any start up developer to get into.

I like how people who hate this game so badly take a very average Chinese review from some uncredited place with more seriousness than the Perfect Japanese reviews from highly credited magazines.

There was a chinese review that gave the original XIII 2/10...LOL.

They criticized the characters fingers... LOL

I found this review recently by someone else who imported because this translation is almost impossible to read. This person had some pretty interesting things to say about the game, so far he's been playing for 102 hours, as XIII-2 apparently has quite a lot of content:

Yes, it went from Final Fantasy Agito XIII to Final Fantasy Type-0. It didn't go from Agito XIII to XV. That's a much bigger step.

Really loving "Run" and Noel's theme from XIII-2, the new Dearly Beloved, and Somnus.

Its hard to Call this game Final Fantasy 15 considering its heavily related to Fabula Nova Crystallis with Goddess Etro being one of the central themes to the game. Also, it's Kingdom Hearts inspired battle system also is also far from ATB or turn based.

On the other side, calling the game "Final Fantasy Versus" seems like an incomplete title.

All in all, Final Fantasy XV would be a satisfying name, a great business decision as well. Although &q...

Again, only partially correct, Outside of the Box. XIII was developed by most of the same mind behind VII, and is mostly the exact same staff other than Uematsu and Sakaguchi behind Final Fantasy X.

True but Nomura's role in XIII is no greater than it was in X. The last time Nomura played a role greater than just character design was 7 and 8, when he had a bigger influence. And yes, I know he's the director of the Kingdom Hearts series, but I wouldn't say he's...
