@PsychoNinja
for making DLC?
Like MOST game companies are doing?
If there's sufficient amount of content on the disc, can you tell me why DLC is a bad thing? I too would be mad, if there was a large portion of the game missing or any of this content was something that felt like it needed to be in the game in order for it to feel completed.
With that said, I didn't see anyone of you complaining when games like the Elder Scrolls or GTA g...
4 disagree for asking a simply question about the DLC? LOL. Wat.
Yeah. How dare Square Enix do what almost every other Video Game Company in the business is doing right now and try to profitable like any other business. Those jerks~!
@above - Lol. Correct me if I'm wrong, But Namco was once offering DLC that could buy that would automatically level you up. I believe it Tales of Vesperia.
Wait. In Lightning's episodic DLC, will you actually get to play as her?
I'm guessing you haven't been a Final Fantasy or KH fan for too long, but This isn't too different from Final Fantasy International or Kingdom Hearts: Final mix. You may not have heard of them, as they're Japanese only games, but square would actually add lots of new content to FF or KH games and then re-release them, making you buy an entirely new full priced disc to get the content.

"Obvious noob is obvious. FF hasn't ever done anything new. If anything, the "new" stuff is what's killing the franchise. "
Really? So. None of the new stuff? Final Fantasy has ALWAYS been about new stuff:
- Active Timer Battle (Final Fantasy 4)
- Job system (Final Fantasy III)
- Summons (Final Fantasy III)
- Material System (Final Fantasy VII)
- Drawing Magic (Final fantasy 8)
- Junction Sys...
Final Fantasy has been pretty close to annualization during it's "better days". Mind you, Final Fantasy's used to released within 1-2 years of each other at most..
FFVII: 1997
FF8: 1999
FF9: 2000
FF10: 2001
FF12, 13 and Versus XIII began the new tradition of the impossibly long wait for an FF title.
If anything, making FF's faster would be a lot similar to the older days.
Final Fantasy XV doing what Final Fantasy 9 did, and returning the franchise back to its roots. They should innovate along side doing that however, and do things that Final Fantasy does best...which is making worlds and new things people have never seen before, but I want them to do that in a way that stays true to Final Fantasy.
.....and you know. Add an Overworld map.
Actually, this was mentioned before in other articles, they actually got Western feedback consistently through out the course of XIII-2's development.
As a side note, I like how they say that XIII was not received well in the West, but in all honesty, XIII was received even worse in Japan amongst fans than it was in US.
Well, they should encourage the feedback and listen to all Final Fantasy fans all over the world, not Just Japanese fans--but answer the feedback in the way that sticks to Japanese game design and Final Fantasy traditions
Wow! Remote play's advanced a lot since PSP's day. I remember when Remote play came out for PSP, I could hardly even play a PS1 game in decent quality/latency.
Final Fantasy X did an incredible job at this.
Tbh, if they're going to put it on Vita, I see no reason why not to make a PS3 version as an HD title as well. If they want to type-0 to sell big, putting it on PS3 as well as PSV would be killer.
^ The truth if I've never heard it.
@CarlitoBrignate
Final Fantasy has been doing QTE's for quite some time now. Obviously you haven't played FF8 (Squalls gunblade trigger) or FFX (Overdrives)
It's nice they have a review there but wtf, does anyone know what the score is?
wow. This is definitely the most different list I've ever seen...especially containing 12 and 5.
^ It is true. They do need to stop rehashing Final Fantasy. I think they should focus more on the main series like they used to, that's how they were able to get out a new Final Fantasy every 2 years.
I really would love to see him collaborate with Square for, at the very least, 1 more Sakaguchi Final Fantasy game.
I know I'm not the only one who REALLY wants to see his thoughts on Final Fantasy XIII, and what he thinks about the future of Final Fantasy, or what direction Square should go in...I fear he may not want to make those sort of comments however now that he no longer works for them.
Doubt Versus will be too much than XIII, really. I've never known a game with 6+ year development stretch to ever come out with universal praise.
