Then you should play the first one again. It's one of the most atmospheric and intense games I've played this gen. Oh and where is my PS3 demo?
Why are people always say cores when talking about the Cell that's a different technology. While I'm a fan of the Cell there is no way that next gen games can run in 4k without looking like shit. It would take an unbelievable amount of power to render a game in 4k in real time.
Sometimes I think they are heading for the next step to soon. 4k would only make sense if you have a beamer or a huge TV. On a normal sized TV you wouldn't see that much of a difference. If the PS4 will come out in the next 3 years there is no way it can render games in that resolution. Even if it only does 4k for movies 1080p games would look awful on a 4k screen.
I don't know why everybody is comparing Uncharted with Gears. They are both third person shooters but that's where the similarities end. The settings and stories are totally different. They may be similar in what they mean for their respective console (best graphics, huge fanbase) but the games are still very different. And every gamer should play both.

I'm not a Mythology expert but I'm interessted in it so I have looked in some of greek, nordic and egyptian mythology. And I really like it.
But how does it makes any sense that Kratos appears in any of that. Nordic and Egyptian mythology doesn't exist in this world and it just wouldn't fit the setting. Nothing against Santa Monica making a game about that but then leave kratos out of it and create another protagonist.

To be honest I can't think of a much more stupid plot than the one you have suggested. GoW is over. I can not imagine a good way to continue it after the end of GoW3.
In GoW3 Kratos kills Hades so there is no Hades to escape from. A sequel to GoW3 wouldn't make any sense to me. The story is finished. Maybe they'll do another prequel if there is still room for it (I haven't played the PSP games yet). I just hope that they won't bring a cheap story twist just to continue making money with the GoW.
The chances aren't really high cause it takes much more time to remake a PSone title to HD than remaking a ps2 game.
We haven't seen much of it yet and it didn't get me with the debut trailer at all. But as I said I'll have to wait for more information before I can decide if I'm interessted in this game or not.
That's why I'm looking foreward to Bioshock: Infinite. Sure it is a sequel but it'll be a very original one. At some points it even seems like the opposite of it's predecessors. While the first and second Bioshock was all about dark, oppressive and linear levels, Bioshock: Infinite will be way more open.

If you look at the pure specs of the ps3 and compare it to PC it is unbelievable how much a capable studio like Naughty Dog can squeeze out of that "old" hardware. That's what's important to me. There were studios calling for a next gen for years, saying that this gen is maxed out, but they were just to lazy to optimize their code properly. Efficiency isn't the greatest strength of most sudios these days.

The main reason that I will never spend that much money for games is that I don't want to just own them but to play them as well. It's impossible to play games worth over 5000$ in one year. Besides going to work or school everybody should have more hobbies than playing games.
An open world zombie game wouldn't work for me. I'm not interessted in a Zombie game that isn't survival horror. So it kinda needs little tight rooms weak lightning and little ammo. It would be hard to get that feel in an open world.
When I first heard of The Last of us I wasn't really hyped because I think we have had enough Zombie games this gen. But if it's Naughty Dog then I think they can still do something unique with it. I'm still sceptical but now I'M looking foreward to some gameplay and story details.
Oh come on. It's the best game ever cause it's "about something". You gotta be kidding me. It will be another upgraded version of GTA3 like all the GTA games that came out in the past ten years were. I won't buy that shit anymore but I know millions of gamers will. That's why there will be sequels to such games and there won't be sequels for the creative indie games you probably never heard of.
That's why I said late 2013 earliest. It would be even better if they would release it mid to end of 2014 or even later. That would make a difference. Technology coasts sink very fast. Do you remember how expensive blu-ray was first. Two years later the price halved.
I just hope that Sony and Microsoft won't release their next gen until late 2013 (or even 2014). I think that it should be a big step from this to next generation. The next gen games should all be playable on 1080p at 60 fps at least (because of 3D setting the framerate to half). It would be even better if they would run at 120 fps. A console that could accomplish this would coast us a lot of money if they would release it next year.
