Stop fighting over crap like that honestly. With graphics like this it should easily run above 720p on the Xbox One, it shouldn't stutter on the PS4 and it shouldn't take a minimum of 6GB Ram on PC.
Maybe next time they'll think twice about using the source engine again.
I just downloaded this game for free on PS+ and can't wait to play it. I am playing the Metal Gear series for the first time right now and I'm loving it so far (MGS2 four hours in).
Yeah I know what you mean. I've been playing in 1080p since the 1940s. I can run Doom 3 with a bazzilion frames per second in 16k with my quadruple Geforce Titan and it look twelve times better than the whole PS4 lineup combined. /s
Getting the game before the console didn't make the wait any easier did it?
I agree. Single player will have a slightly lower framerate though. But I think it's worth it for the extra fidelity.
I guess some of those points are true if you care enough about them. All I need to know is that I like the PS4 line up of games more already and that a lot of my favorite devs are among Sony's first party. I guess both controllers will have improvements over current gen controllers.
I would recommend The Darkness, Heavenly Sword and Folklore.
If I recall correctly Kojima had trouble fitting MGS4 on a single Blu-Ray. Now that MGSV will be 1080p and open world he might need 2 Blu-Ray Discs to fit the whole game. Maybe that's why he decided to make two separate games out of it. I just hope that both of them will have enough value to justify a seperate release.
@nusilver: Most of the games I've listed are expected to launch within the first year of the playstation 4 life cycle.
Well the PS4 has been in development since 2008. I wouldn't call almost six years of development "rushed out". Also a good reason to own a console differs from person to person. For me Killzone, Knack, Watch Dogs, The Witcher 3, Outlast, Infamous, Destiny, The Witness, Shadow of the Beast, Rime, The Order: 1886, Mirror's Edge, Metal Gear Solid V, DriveClub and Contrast are a couple of good reasons to own a PS4. Others might be interessted in BF4, CoD or AC4 and other games. ...
So I guess you are only interessted in AAA games. But even then you'll have more than enough games to play if you look at first and third party combined imo.
Jericho wasn't a bad game in my opinion.
There is no need to defend any company when they are doing something wrong unless you're working for that company. Just think about it. If nobody would've complained Xbox One would've still have the DRM restrictions.
Sony is praised as the company they are right now because people complained about the high launch price of the PS3 and about the complicated architecture of the cell. Now look at the PS4. Those companies need feedback as much as possible so that they ...
Shadow of the Beast. Please be good.
The original games have some of my favorite settings of all time. This plus the unique soundtrack made it really one of a kind. I just hope they can catch that vibe of the original games.
That's exactly why they do it.
We need a better video platform for gameplay videos than youtube. This video is in 720p + youtube compression and limited to 30fps.
So this is basically how this game would look like on an Xbox One. /jk
Dinosaurs would be better imo. We've seen so many dragons in videogames I want dinos now.
I think it might have something to do with Xbox One's EsRAM. If you look at the system requirements for PC it needs a minimum of 6GB for whatever reason (BF4 only needs 4GB minimum). Maybe that's why the Xbox One version has such a low resolution.
Don't get me wrong with the stronger hardware and it's dev friendly architecture I was expecting the PS4 to technically have the superior versions of multiplatform games from day one but 1080p to 720p seems too big o...
Some PS3 games did install in the Background as well. My concern is that the games that did that on the PS3 suffered from bad framerate while installing.
I wonder if it will have a negative effect on PS4 games. I'm not sure if sacrificing performance in the first playthrough make sense just to improve the performance of the second playthrough..
The installing seems to be mandatory so one might think that the disc drive isn't fast enough to load all th...
Has nothing to do with pixelcounting when the result is obviously better. The only reasons I can imagine for not being able to see a difference are:
1. Your TV is too small.*
2. Your viewing position is way to far away from the TV.*
3. You have a 720p TV.*
4. You are blind.*
*"You" refers to anyone who claims to be unable to see a difference.
