You are completely missing the point. We're talking about a console game here. Everyone who buys TLOU remastered will be playing the game in 1080p at 60fps.
Of course we won't see articles like that for PC games because it depends on the setup you're playing it on.

Why are so many people picking Arkham Asylum instead of Arkham City? I love both of those games but AC is superior in almost every way imo.
I hope we'll get an update on Shadow of the Beast. It's been a year without any information. I'm starting to get worried about that game.

The duration of a frame at 30fps is 33.3 ms. At 60fps it's 16.7. This adds up with the controller input lag and the display lag of your TV to the total latency from pushing a button to the output on the screen.
So 60fps will theoratically feel more responsive. I say theoratically because in some games (fast paced games like racing and fighting games) it's more noticable than in others (slower paced games like turn based strategy).
I completely agree. 30fps (and I mean a rock solid 30fps) is enough for most type of games imo. Even for shooters I'd prefer 30fps for the single player so that the additional recources can be used to enhance the immersion. When it comes to multiplayer on the other hand I honestly don't care about the visuals all that much and I definately prefer 60fps especially because you always have latency through the ping already.
Fighting and racing games also benefit from 60fp...

Not every game is for everyone. Why don't you just play the games you like and stop moaning about the games you don't like.
Nice. That's definately a feature I wanted them to implement even though I didn't think they'll do it. I'll definately try it at 60fps first though. I just generally prefer 30fps on slower paced games.
I wonder if they've considered 3D.
I would've liked a 30fps option on the Metal Gear Solid HD collection. Playing Metal Gear Solid 2 at 60fps really felt weird imo.
@no_more_heroes: It actually wasn't the difficulty that bothered me with the water temple (I actually think that OOT and TP are fairly easy games in general once you've got enough heart containers and bottles).
It was getting all the keys and having to reset the water levels all the time. Especially when you change the water level too soon you have to cycle through the whole temple again. And then there was one place where I had to play a song and it just didn't ...
Funny that you mention that. I've just finished the game for the first time and I liked it. I actually like playing old games though. I can imagine how revolutionary it was when it first released on the N64.

I still couldn't beat the original Eternal Champions with more than three fighters (Trident, Shadow, Larcen). I'd really love a new Eternal Champions even though that's very unlikely.
I remember trying different combinations. I was certain there had to be a secret game combination no one knew about. I even tried some weird combinations like Sonic & Knuckles + Streets of Rage.
To be fair the game is 15 years old. And the title didn't really spoil anything cause it's not a part of the official plot. It's just a fan theory.
Fan theories are fun. Final Fantasy VIII has some of the best
in my opinion.
@GT67: Exactly. I still have a working Sega MegaDrive/Genesis. My dad bought it in 1992 when I was a little kid and the only thing that ever had to be replaced was the power supply unit about 5 years ago. The console itself never had any problems.
I could imagine a Medievil remake being more like the Zelda games.
I'd definately take a clearer image quality (resolution, framerate, textures, lighting,..) over 60fps especially for a fairly slow paced game like The Last of Us. I'd actually appreciate a 30fps option even though that's very unlikely.

Wrong. There is no standard for PC gaming. You'd be surprised how many people are playing beneath what you call the standard.
And it's also not wise to demand a 60fps standard for consoles. The devs should choose for themselves how they are managing the console's recources.
