Personally, the only thing it changes is the fact that I won't have to wake up at 10am on Tuesday June 11 and watch the usual Nintendo Media Conference. It will be weird for me, as I've always looked forward to taking the week off to watch every conference and everything live at E3, but without a Nintendo Conference, it'll be different. They will still be at the show though, and I'm guessing they might have acquired more floor space this year in return of not spending money on...
jeez, not too many people have a sense of humor around here do they? :/ lol
omg omg omg.....Great time to test that Pizza Hut app at 10am in the morning :D #BreakfastOfChampions #XboxReveal
ON SPIKE TV! with Geoff Keighley and Michael Pachter :\
I say it's high time indeed :D
C'mon Mark Cerny, get Sony to buy it back from Activision and bring Crash to PS4!
They should also offer the app through the Google Play Store instead of having to download it from Sony and install it manually. Also, making more phones/tablets as PlayStation Certified, besides Sony and HTC products, would also increase the install base for the platform.
I do believe Sony should keep them apart from each other. PlayStation Mobile has it's own place within the Android phone/tablet ecosystem, then the PS Store/PS Network for dedicated PlayStation devices....
Well....considering how Gaikai is an exclusive cloud gaming network platform, I don't think so.
You could however make the argument that Sony might release some sort of indie/direct-to-video channel on the PS Store/PSN, as long as those indie films go through Sony first, and more than likely published by Sony Pictures.
Don't all of my games I download through the PS Store/PSN go into my download list automatically? When I log into my PSN account on the internet, it shows everything I've downloaded through the network and if it's a game, trailer, demo, etc and on what day.
Or is there another download list I'm missing?
quick question:
Once Sony remove these titles (InFamous 2, LBG2 and Motorstorm Apocalypse) from the Instant Game Collection, would I still be able to play them if I have them downloaded to my PS3 and still have a PS+ subscription?
@mac_sparrow: good to hear, thanks man! I've only been a member for a month, ever since I got my PS3 and started gaming full-time again, so I had no clue if I'd be able to keep playing them if they weren't available on t...
Only on N4G does Nintendo news bring conversations about PlayStation and PSN :/
Does anyone know any numbers pertaining to their Surface RT and Surface Pro products? Kind of interested in seeing how many or how much Microsoft have sold of them as it directly relates to their Entertainment and Devices Division.
OT: Good goin' Microsoft, keep up the good work (And announce the Xbox 720 already!)
Edit: @Dlacy13g, yeah I kind of figured, and those losses from last year were probably due to R&D costs for both the next Xbox and the Sur...
They haven't announced a price yet or announce date for North America, but apparently it was/is supposed to be released at the end of March in Europe for 1799 Euros.
Well it may or may not be too late for that one, but you honestly think Wii U is the perfect name for Nintendo's "next-gen" console?
I wouldn't mind seeing them re-brand/re-name it if they could and have a new marketing campaign behind it....but that's probably the last thing Nintendo would do if nothing else they have planned works.
1. Games (1st-party)
2. More Games (3rd-party, if any)
3. Even More Games (Surprise Us!)
4. Re-brand/Name Change
5. Slash Price On All Models by $50
6. More Focus On Nintendo Network and Online Gaming
I'd say out of the big 3, Microsoft would be the most likely candidate to implement an "Always Online" DRM system in their future products. However, I think given how viral this situation has become and how much it can negatively impact the Next Xbox, I just do not see Microsoft going forward with this idea.
Of course there will be, when hasn't there been a shortage in the 'initial' console launch window?
If, and thats one big IF, Microsoft come out with these speculations as made by the NeoGAF member:
1. Always Online not required to play games offline
2. Xbox 360 SOC --> 100% Full Backwards compatible with all Xbox 360 games right out of the box
3. Xbox 360 SOC --> Used to help increase 720's processing abilities
4. A slightly revamped controller with new d-pad and lower latency
I'd say those announcements would be well received ...
Xbox 720 tagline:
Deal With It. Jump In.
@ UnHoly_One
Yeah I know, I was just trying to get across what the author was trying to get at with his opinion.
I personally think it's an amazing subscription initiative and probably the best decision Sony made to combat Xbox Live and still make money off of it, and not totally screw the gamers over compared to Microsoft and Xbox Live. And it's not like every single game in PlayStation's library goes up for grabs in PS+. It's typically games...
Excluding the fact we know nothing about the next Xbox, at least until May 21st, Sony have been on fire lately with both the hardcore gamers and gaming press. When they announced the PS4, everyone was shocked by what they showed, how games-centric the show was and how Sony positioned themselves for the future.
Like I said, its still too early to judge based on what's official and what's rumored or has not been announced yet, but Sony has made it clear what they want t...
