Meh, both darksiders games wore out their welcomes pretty quickly for me. They weren't terrible, but not anything I'll cry over.
Like EA would miss a chance to cram as much marketing into their products as possible...
Jesus Christ that's sad...
Sahz is a walking black stereotype, and Jacob is pretty much the most unpopular Mass Effect character.
The only decent one on this list is Lee, and I can't tell if it's the fault of the article creator or the games industry in general. Probably both...
Not that it'll stop them from scapegoating games when something terrible happens though...
This is freaking stupid, why are we imagining what the PS4/720 will look like? We don't have the official specs, or any footage of ANY next gen game.
This is just pandering for hits using glorified fan art.
I didn't really like Kessler at all, nice twist, but I was never sympathetic towards him.
His total dickishness may have been towards a goal, but he was still committing atrocities while showing very little actual remorse.
He ain't got nothing on Bosch in terms of sympathy.

My memories of enjoyment with FFX is always somewhat dampened by the knowledge that is was followed with FFX-2...
Oh boy, thanks for bringing abortion into this argument for no reason, cause just one controversial topic isn't causing enough rage clearly.
Can't say I'm surprised, FF females have always been pretty underwhelming. Hell Aeris is probably the most iconic female character, and that's just because she got stabbed.
Goddamn it Japan....
Thanks again Kotaku, because this is really significant news and not just sensationalism for hits.
Story for me, no question.
Gameplay can carry a game for awhile, and in fact gameplay and story should be intertwined, but I see games as a storytelling medium where you are the driving force behind the protagonist.
Gameplay matters, but it's much harder to keep me interested with great gamplay and crap story, than a great story with crappy gameplay.
For example, FTL had great gameplay and music, but it won't ever be on the same level...
FTL was great but sadly nothing comes close to the days of FreeSpace and FreeSpace 2. No trading, no open galaxy to explore, just a tight plot about a war for survival against overwhelming odds combined with intense dogfights.
I did love that one of the FTL ships was called the Shivan and even had their color scheme.
So you're reaction to the idea of restrictions on certain types of military grade firearms is to threaten that if they do it, there will be a war in which you claim "Thousands or even millions may die"...
Yeah...that certainly helps convince me that you are a reasonable individual who would never use a gun irresponsibly.
"History is completely logical. Video games are part of a very non-violent era compared to history."
So are assault rifles and Abrams tanks. You can't use 'history' as a direct comparison, because the cultural norms, technology and standard of living of our societies have changed so much.
"If video games cause violence then logically speaking the number of violent people must correlate in some way to the number of games and people p...
Well it's a step in the right direction, too bad we're still kilometers away from FOX being considered intelligent in any way, shape or form.
There's a big difference between a simply alternative view and an extremist one.
When he's yelling about the revolution that's coming if they try to enact ANY gun laws, and telling Brits they are living in a giant police state so bad he accuses Piers Morgan of 'escaping' to America he's not presenting a credible alternative.
It's pretty much impossible to have a debate when you are foaming at the mouth enraged and yelling over, int...
There it is, the idea that we OWE the developers and publishers full price on a game instead of a fully legal and practical alternative...
If the developer is someone I trust or a game I have faith in, I'll buy the game new, usually around release day. As a consumer however, I have no obligation to choose the more expensive option because the developers/publishers would prefer it that way.
The developers need to prove to me they know what they are doing b...
I especially agree with the idea that not all characters need to be romance options. It turns your character into some kind of space pimp able to get any main character into bed.
Good romances depends on good (i.e believable) character development. Putting everyone as romanceable usually means that all this character development gets spread around and you end up with little more than some new dialogue and maybe an "I love you" scene before the sex.

It's Pokemon mixed with FF9, spent around 12 hours so far and it's damn good. It's actually challenging on normal difficulty too, which is a nice change of pace.
