Correct, as stated I know the Wii U library, nothing else I want on the Wii U in the next 8 months I can't get on any other platforms besides Mario Kart. I'm a sucker for racing games, currently own 9 right now between my PC, PS4, XB1, and XB360. Its been a long time since I've own Mario Kart, and this looks fun.
Yeah I know about the other titles, but the only game I care to play on the Wii U is Mario Kart. Not played Mario Kart game in a long time after skipping the Wii, (Own Gamecube, N64, and SNES prior), I just can't justify spending $300 or so for one game I'm interested in. Well maybe I might reconsider when I sell my X360, just waiting to finish the rest of Walking Dead Season 2 since I've already paid for the whole season.
Going off what I've read, seen the X-Rays but yet MS claims 15 co or special purpose processors which could just be simple circuit logic.

Kinect kinda sucks right now, but I did enjoy the Rivals demo. I will see what happens after tomorrows update but the voice commands is mostly a miss. Motions controls is pretty good, no issues playing Zumba and other fitness games after getting it setup right.
Thinking about this one, debating on buying a Wii U for this game, but damn I would hate to buy Wii U for one game.
He should have compared the Wii version to the Wii U

How did MS let Sony get the one up on them regarding software platform? I mean MS is a software company with a very popular graphics API. Oh well we will see what DX12 has to offer in the PC and Xbox departments next year.
Looks good, but The Order looks better (Minus the aspect ratio black bars)!
I think technology now is capable of rendering Project Offset. In 2006 no way graphics processors had the rendering grunt to run this vaporware demo at HDTV resolution with AA. Look at Crysis, took about 4 years before single graphics cards could render that Crysis at max settings around 60 FPS.
My old Nvidia GTX 670 was the first graphics card I own that could rendering Crysis at 60 FPS with AA 2012. In 2010 my AMD 6970 got close, around 50 FPS without AA max settings.
I understand all of that but still have to deal with bright lights from special effects. This can and will cause headaches and eyestrain. Same problem with watching 3D content, I'm sure it will be cool the first time I use it, but I'm not impulsed by VR tech, and never have been.
I'm not really digging this whole VR crap, I mean people hate on 3D glasses, but yet their willing to put 1980 style old folks visors on their head. Ain't this the reason why the Virtual Boy failed? People complained about headaches, neck, back pains, and eyestrain, but yet this is somehow the future? Seem kinda wasteful, but hey you never know how the market and consumer opinions will shift.
Not surprising, if I'm not mistaken XB1 has 15 additional co-processors (rumored 8 PS4) they have yet to explain all of their functions. Additionally the APU in the XB1 cost more to produce and is bigger than the PS4. Besides ESRAM ( A waste in my opinion) who knows what MS has in that chip waiting to be unlocked via software. But like all the vaporware crap I've seen in the past, I need to play it before I believe it.

I forgot all about Project offset, but I always knew PO would never come out on the PS3 or X360. PO appeared to be beyond both systems capabilities at the the time. Fractiv LLC is the name of the company that made PO demo, they actually licensed their game engine for the game Firefall. I do think Sony should make Getaway 3 for the PS4, thought the demo looked pretty nice and GW2 was decent but not great back in the day.
I gotcha, besides graphics Shenmue needs new audio samples as well. Had it on Dreamcast and Xbox and both platforms had dodgy audio at best. Too compressed sounding, muffled, it was like Sega recorded their actors voice in a make shift studio with egg cartons for sound proofing.
Low polygon count, bad textures, still think this game will need to be remade from scratch in order to do it justice. I would also like modern day pixel shaders to be applied to skin and ground, Dream...
I'm sorry when I said take advantage of my new video card I meant features like True Audio, and Mantle if supported. I know this game won't max out my card unless the developers half a$$ the PC code.
Picking Vampire Bill (True Blood) to run the Xbox division is an excellent move by MS. This guy seem passionate about games, well spoken, and so far has done everything within his power to correct the mistakes MS made with XB1 last year. It just sucks he had to come behind that no count Don Mattrick.
Shenmue will need to be remade from scratch. 3-5 million polygons on screen, 8-16 bit textures normally don't translate well in 1080P.

I'm interested but I might get this on the PC. I want to take advantage of my new video card (Sapphire Tri Core 290) while waiting on console exclusives for my XB1 and PS4.
I think the XB1 CPU is being held back by software, when DX12 comes out I expect 20-40 percent higher performance. By all accounts its the same CPU, Jaguar Cores, Sony has not confirmed higher clock rates but only stated 1.6 GHZ. Only difference between the CPU seem to be software/OS their running.
With that said Areswarlord has a point! Both new consoles are pretty weak when compared to mid range PC platforms. My I7 970 is over 3 years old and can still run circles around bo...
The Wii wouldn't have been bad if Nintendo made it HD with proper Dolby Digital, and DTS surround sound output. I have two 3D home theater setups, 480P/I looks like crap with poor separation of rear audio channels when using Dolby Digital pro logic out of my 1050 watt 7.1 systems. Now with the Wii U being HD with proper surround sound support I can see myself buying one after I trade in my X360 when walking dead Season 2 is done. With that said I'm still having an hard time justifying...
