Well said.
I DO want Titanfall, which is why I bought it on PC.
You seem to totally know your stuff. I have a bridge to sell you.
It's not even worth that.
I played this and it's horrible. Always-online, IAP up the wazoo, repetitive gameplay, etc.
If the Xbox One needed "The Cloud" (TM) to power the enemy artificial intelligence (or lack thereof) in Titanfall, then something is really, really wrong.
Um, why did I get a disagree for saying "I can't wait for a game"?
Can't wait to get this puppy on my 360.
This is exactly why EA is trying so hard to force an online-only, games-as-a-service model for gaming. It's always easier to monetize when all the players are always online.
Couldn't agree more.
Still a decent game IMO.
So if the online portion of a full-priced, online-only game doesn't work, then what are you left with?
Not for me personally, but every gamer is entitled to his own perception of value.
*cough* DRM *cough*
No offense or anything but... One of Respawn's justifications for being multiplayer-only (besides being a small studio) was that players were mainly interested in the multiplayer and accordingly, that's where they wanted to invest the lion's share of development time.
For being a full-priced, multiplayer/online-only title, is it unreasonable to expect more modes, options, and features?
Disappointing :(
Looks awesome but I'm concerned about some of the screen-tearing.
Looks so much like COD. Not necessarily saying that's a good or bad thing.
Or you can just, you know, play Titanfall on your PC.
I tried this. It's a social/casual, always-online, IAP-infested game. Not even worth the trouble of downloading.
