True but they will continue to try and they will try different things. So we have to get things sorted out before they come back so subtle and insidious that we lose track of them.
Yeah it's pretty authentic.
Many user reviews are actually higher quality. I would look to user reviews before "certain websites".
@Summons:
"User reviews can be fine but also very uninformed"
Yup, which is is why it's up to us to put the pieces together and if that's not possible we can always try the games for ourselves.
Actually, their traffic has went way down recently, so it's arguable who is winning.
One of the reasons is that devs werent efficiently optimizing for powerful multi-core PC processors anyway(see Planetside 2 a year or so ago)
Many times there was very uneven core distribution. This can be seen in all sorts of other software(music production etc.) that use old code bases.
8 cores at around 1.8 Ghz or whatever they are clocked at will go along way it used properly.
This will benefit us on PC as well as future console gens.

I would rather they didn't. Just my opinion of course.
I wouldn't put it past 'em foxtrot.
! REMINDER !
All these damage control articles popped up after they began to be EXPOSED. The websites and individuals are trying to shift the blame, make themselves look like innocent victims, and anyone who questions them the offenders.
They are scared, hence the acts of desperation. They will do ANYTHING to protect themselves.
We have the upper hand and shouldn't forget it as they continue to b...
Derp?
@annoyed.
Prepare yourself for some tired ad hominem attacks.
Their methods are also tired. This is 2014 and their cover is blown. Now there is the predictable reaction where they try to destroy everyone trying to expose them(wouldn't want to lose any followers). In doing so they expose themselves further and then go back to hiding in the shadows, planning their next attack. The trick is to recognize them after they change form.

It's funny because it's not even real feminism. It's mostly a bunch of mentally ill/sociopaths manipulating people and getting attention by any means necessary. Then you have the torch wielding pitchfork carrying mob that jumps on the bandwagon. Unfortunately for them their wagon was built with shoddy craftsman ship, is in need of constant maintenance, and is ready to fall apart if it runs any opposition.
It's interesting that some people think they need to be "all digital". Unexpected bandwagon. Maybe it is a "hipster" thing.
Hah yeah.
I was going to make a joke like,
"but the analyst was Pachter"
Turns out it actually was Patcher. I don't think it was just a coincidence.
So we shouldn't give them any. Writing click-bait garbage while pretending to take the moral high ground is a no no.
Pretending/assuming they are some kind of moral authority is also annoying. Just one part of their game they are playing.
Some people would rather own physical copies of quality games for their collection or just play on a console.
I'm a big fan of GOG so far though and Steam has been great for multiplayer.
Exactly. The (literally) hundreds of thousands of people that continue to play Counter Strike every day are enjoying the gameplay.
"Occasionally this means we’re not provided with the same information or early access opportunities that other websites may receive, which instantly gives those willing to bypass any moral standing a rather ugly advantage."
Figured I'd add another quote.
....says the website that gave Gone Home a 5/5.
" Didn't 'Gone Home' get Game of the year? "
Not sure but it was given high praise. Either way, the opinions of most reviewers are about as useless to me as shredded newspaper spaghetti until I do my own research.
Good point below. Bioshock pushed the genre and blew my mind more than any COD ever could. I am still mad about the the copycat cod's with lots of health regen and perks introducing much hot trash into the gaming shelves though. So I may be a bit biased.
I would list DeSouls also but I have a feeling they listed DaSouls because it is multi-platform and a bigger seller.
I find even the games title repulsive, but that is my opinion.
I think we should be concerned about how many opportunists this game will bring out of the woodwork. People looking to demonize gamers/games, attract traffic, create controversy, etc.
I think a preemptive strategy should be in order so that when "SJW" types try to say things like,
"look at how terrible gamers and the games they play are"
We can say things like,
