I was thinking something similar.
Any idea if you will have be online or login to XBL to play any of the BC games? or can I just download the update, then put any (compatible) disc in and start playing?
I ask because this BC thing has me interested in maybe buying an XbOne.
$350 or less seems like a great deal if I can play RDR, Bayonetta, etc. discs also.
I question their opinions there and doubt that they are grounded in objective reality to an adequate extent in any consistent way.
Assuming you will be working around 40 hours/week as a pharmacist, that should leave you plenty of time to focus on it. Understand that programming, etc. requires a lot of commitment before hand.
Don't listen to naysayers. If you are smart, dedicated, and persistent you can do almost anything.
That about wraps it up.
Yeah and a good one.
Some great comments on here but I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned that it often makes it much easier to avoid addictions if people are properly stimulated and engaged in various areas of interest.
Even if the infrastructure was there I wouldn't want it.
Yep, people also need to try it and then talk/rave about it.
The GOG summer sale was pretty darn good and I even got a free game. I missed the deadline on Steam anyway.
I'll have to check it out later.
I would buy an AMD card right now if they would work on their Linux drivers. I don't mind using Windows but ATM I don't mind paying a little bit more for an Nvidia to get the great driver support. So I will likely get a 960 or 970 for my new build.
If they are planning on working on this I'd love to know.
Either way I'll be looking forward to seeing/using their new line of cards.
...and some of the profit they make back will go towards funding IMO more interesting projects like Shenmue 3.
AMAZINGGGGGGGGGG!
You are right to an extent but it still looks promising.
I'd rather not have them add suspense destroying health regen, killstreak rewards, and tons of DLC to appease a very small percentage of people.
Doing what many "modern" FPS are doing would be even more generic.
HEALTH PACKS in the multiplayer and I might buy it day one.
A whole lot of people care.
If you think about it a little more you will see that unless consoles are deliberately phased out, they will become more powerful also.
In 4 or 5 years(or more) when "mobiles" are on par with ps4 for example, much more powerful GPUs will already be available(actually they already are).
Looks like you might be forgetting about space, energy storage, thermal considerations, etc.
Obviously it isn't this simple but I'm not here to write a book.
They would have given it an even lower score if they could get away with it.
Even individuals are leery of investing too much time/money in mobile development.
It was a noble attempt and some people even bought into it.
I'm sure you remember those ridiculous articles about "mobiles" becoming more powerful than desktops/consoles also. The ones that assumed that desktops/consoles wouldn't also become more powerful and totally ignored laws of physics, manufacturing constrains, logic, space limitations, etc.
Just wanted to highlig...
It will be interesting to see their titles sitting next to "games" people like me and MANY others can churn out in a few days.
This is doing wonders for their credibility and it seems to be making sure all of their eggs do fall in one basket.
Hopefully they will see the light.
I think there was an article with the exact same headline last year.
If it weren't for some of the negative Nancys it might be an always online system and they might not have added so many great features.
@MeliMel
" Psnow is garbage service. Go ahead and rent games. We own ours! "
Totally agree with that.
Like movies, it's nice to be able to own the ones you like.
