Well said. I don't need/want it personally but I like the mention of the ecosystem.
I try to avoid websites that say that such in such is,
"the future",
"will replace blah blah blah",
"is a <blank> killer".
They are annoying, misleading, and unethical.
Just what I was thinking.
I can always plug my gaming laptop/pc into my TV anyway via HDMI. This is more of a niche product(albeit a rather large niche).
Don't forget about the DRM.
I still don't have the one from last month. :(
I forget whether or not it would work with the story but I would love to revisit Boletaria by way of a sequel.
"Connect to a nearby radiator to keep your gaming appendages toasty warm during the wintertime. "
This laptop is a total beast. I'm a bit afraid to see the price though because it's not likely to be what I consider practical. I actually like the idea of water-cooled laptops and it does seem to have the potential to catch on or be very useful.
I keep playing even when I'm losing and now I am a winner.
That's sound advice and I'm happy for you and your brother.
He's probably smart, talented, and hardworking then. Three qualities that a degree doesn't necessarily ensure anyway. There are smart people with degrees and smart people without degrees.
The thing is, you never really needed a degree to be a programmer and it's even easier now(if you are very talented).
Some people still seem to think that having a degree automatically makes them a top tie...
Maybe he will after he stops making excuses and gets his $#@! together.
They aren't bad in themselves but some people who like to think/pretend they know how the world works seem to think they are.
I agree with a lot of what you're saying.
I don't hear Zuckerberg, Gates, etc. complaining. They seem to be too busy realizing other aspirations. There are plenty of things to work towards no matter how much money you have.
This guy probably wouldn't be happy either way and may be using his money as an excuse to avoid doing the hard work necessary to break free of whatever is causing his depression.
"Well Clifford your timing is perfect. If MG is passive, then passive > anything you do. "
<Chuckle>
There may be a partnership with Konami in his future. Bringing you the most hardcore FTP mobile experience possible.
You probably already have a good idea, but....
A lot of it probably has to do with the idea that it is easier to get a lot of people to try your game, then build a larger user base. That of course ties into the marketing.
"Play for free now! <click here>"
Establish user base and saturate the market, and monetize($$$$$).
They also see other people who have made a ton of money with FTP.
There are other reasons too, like the fact that they ...
If it takes you a year to beat it, well then, that's an excellent value!
How's Disgaea 5? I didn't know it was ready yet.
That's another series that I can't wait to try out.
It's great news though. I picked up "Divine Divinity" and "Divinity 2" on GOG. I haven't had a chance to play them yet but I'm really excited about the series because it looks awesome! Can't wait to play these.
This is true.
I admit that I should have read the article first but the title rubbed me the wrong way after seeing so many bogus articles on here.
I don't really do any gaming(with my gaming laptop) on the go anyway, so this device makes even more sense, if it works well. It isn't a very portable solution(with the extra case) but most people play with their laptops plugged in most of the time anyway.
The USB type c technology has a lot of potential either way a...
One of the many reasons I currently support GOG.
@morganfell: That is true and valid but many companies might have withheld and then CHARGED. In contrast this seems more reasonable.
As far as it being a calculated staging. That's possible but we don't really know do we? If it's true then it's annoying but I've seen much worse marketing gimmicks.
Either way, having the full game day one would be ideal.
That's what I was thinking. Nothing puny about my gaming laptop or even some of the lower end ones.
This might be an interesting device but there's nothing puny about gaming laptops in general and many can be had for < $1000 US.
I've been watching this on GOG(Where you can preorder @ 10% off) and didn't know it was coming to PS4.
After watching the trailer I think this would be truly frightening on Playstation VR.
