You summed up my complete thought. Well said👏👏.
Wouldn't it be better for Sony to just release the 30th anniversary plates so everyone gets them?
Well, they are worth a $trillion give or take, so some how not surprised. Putting the games on other Platforms like PlayStation PC and Switch and adding the service to any device with a screen and internet connection should earn them more revenue.
Thanks..
I am getting the Pro but curious what the 30th Anniversary Pro console costs. I am hoping the DSE new controller has a better battery than the original that mine barely gets 4 hours out of.
But, there have been many issues, factors(Covid, chip shortage, inflation, game development costs and development time) that has caused this gen to play put just as it has.
As soon as the Pro was announced and it was digital, I immediately started looking for the drive and stand as I currently have a launch digital console. I assume everyone else had the same idea as the only place that had them was Target.
Maybe, I am looking at this incorrectly, but it seems to me Sony made the Slim and PS5 Pro models digital to improve profitability on each unit sold, and made drive attachable for the same reason, so technically Sony is not going digital as many are claiming as any one who wants physical can also buy the drive like me and many others have for the Pro before the scalpers started buying them up everywhere. Am I wrong?
I already received my stand and drive for the Pro. My reason is simple. I love the Sony exclusives and generally normally buy all multiplats on Xbox. Going forward will switch to the PS versions. The price of the console is really no issue for me. I want one because I have a launch digital PS5, and if the Pro plays multiplat games better than my base consoles along with the enhanced first party games then it is money well spent. It is worth it to me.
So what does our launch PS5s render the game at as the Pro has to be an improvement over that?
I am keeping my digital launch PS5 as a backup but I am looking at trading in my PS4 Pro as it is only connected because my PS5 is digital and I really won't need it after the Pro comes for my disc based PS4 games.
So you want Sony to run them out again like they did after the PS2 came out..
I went out looking for the disc drive and no one had any not even on Sony's website. Found one on Targets website.
Seems like it went as expected. It's the gamers who for some magical reason thought the price would be reasonable, after the Slims which they reduced their manufacturing cost with no intentions on passing that on to consumers at a lower price. I am really not surprised by this at all. I think Sony is at a point with little competition from MS in console sales and Nintendo in their own lane, they can kind of write their own script and gamers will buy cause its a PlayStation and 5 generat...
If the Pro is costing this, what do you think the PS6 will cost?
Apparently, it does mean that. MS should drop the price on all Series consoles.
Wait, but its a Playstation. It will sell no matter the cost. Sony knows this. They will pay.
So, Nintendo being Nintendo..
