Meh, fine with the $3 increase. My Playstation Premium renews in 2025, I may reduce that as I rarely play the old games and only need the minimum to play online. Everything in life has gone up, blame whom you wish, this is where we are at, as I wish they could have stopped my car insurance, house insurance, taxes, everything you buy at the store, every app, gas from going up, too while they were trying to stop MS. MY Wiiu is still connected for Wii Punchout, and the Donkey Kong game which comes out on the Switch in January 2025. Almost everything else has been ported over.

I mean, we could clearly see this is where Microsoft was headed, getting access to their games in as many gamers hands, no console needed is a good thing for gamers.
I am fine with digital, physical for those Gamefly games that I decide to keep. I own almost every console going back to the 1980s. Those games are physical cause back then that's all you had, but from the 360 on to now the majority of my games are digital, my PS5 is digital, PS4 Pro for the PS4 physical games that I own. I was just in Best Buy, Target, Walmart, and there is virtually no physical games movies or music in those stores so the writing is on the wall, physical is on its way...
But Gamepass is going nowhere with Microsoft's Trillion dollar pockets. A game like this would not end up on Gamepass, unless they are trying to say due to GP Xbox gamers are not buying games. I can't speak for anyone but myself as I game on all platforms other than PC, so if it's an Xbox game and not on GP, and I want to play it I buy it. I even buy GP games, but I must be in the minority.

I don't expect Sony or Nintendo to put their games on Xbox, but MS should release their games on other platforms. They are in a different position than Sony and Nintendo and it is clear they want to be a multi-console publisher. It would be a win win for them.
If it is about making money then MS should put the games on as many platforms as possible as it is clear the Xbox base is too small and Gamepass is not growing at the pace they anticipated, so getting your games in more gamers hands is a good thing to me. MS should stop dancing around this and just rip the band-aid off.

Console wars are toxic nonsense to begin for the man children to begin with. Play everything. That is best for all gamers.
I prefer single player story driven games over online, so, I believe the story of gamers buying less.
I generally buy 3rd party stuff on Xbox Sony exclusives on PS5, but this gen has turned out different as Sony hasn't released much and my Switch Xbox and PS backlog are so huge fine by me as I got too much to play, with little gaming time and I don't think I have completed one Switch game this gen so far.

Do I need to upgrade my PS5? No, but I am looking forward to the Pro and any benefits it allows compared to our current base consoles.
