It would be nice to see Sony incorporate either SixAxis or touchscreen into the next PSP. Either (or both) of which could be implemented using an accessory connected to the USB port on the PSP 1000 - 3000.

With either tilt, touchscreen, or both, games with the screen "closed" would be much more possible.

True, game development is very expensive this generation...

But it is possible for a third party developer to make a PS3 exclusive title and still make money... Just look at Metal Gear Solid 4.

MGS4 has sold 4.5 million copies worldwide at full price, and it is getting the "Greatest Hits" collection price drop soon...

"I use the PsN...it is NOT good at ALL and it gets so boring and lifeless at times you just want to turn your playstation off for months....like I did lol."

So due to no short voice messages and no "party chat" feature, PSN is "NOT good at ALL"?

Besides those two features, THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE... Other than the number of annoying 12 year olds with mic's... ;-)

While everyone having a mic can be a good thing for tactical ...

"Unlike Sony, the servers aren't shut down if the players playing reaches lower than 1000."

I've had a PS3 since December '06, and I'm not aware of a SINGLE PS3 game that is no longer playable online... Not one...

I remember this issue back in the PS2 days, but that's only because every online game had to have its own registration and login servers running.

Now that PSN has made the registration and login portions of the online service unified...

Unless the beta builds have become WORSE from build 7000 (beta 1), then your friends are absolutely WRONG. I have been running the x86_64 version of Windows 7 build 7000 and I can honestly say it's a LOT more stable and usable than Windows Vista SP1.

I find it rather hard to believe that subsequent builds have degraded to the point where you could even make a statement like that.

Then again, I'm not in the private beta, so I don't know for sure.

"As you say there are settings that are not worth noticing...what...why are they there?"

Honestly, the settings that bbblockbird was likely referring to are the advanced settings (digital audio streaming settings, HDMI port settings, etc.) Not every PS3 user will have to set ANYTHING in those settings, especially if you are using a SDTV. However, if you have a HDTV that will do HDMI 1.3 and can take advantage of the advanced settings, or a nice home theater system wit...

While I really do enjoy holding "Hate Microsoft" rallies... ;-) They still do have a valid place in the market as far as PC operating systems and applications.

This article reeks of FUD. I have been using Windows 7 for a while now on my laptop, and I can honestly say that I'm rather impressed with what I have seen out of Beta 1. And this is coming from a Linux/UNIX/Mac OS X fanatic.

The easiest way to sum up Windows 7 is that it is what Vista should have...

I have been running the x86_64 version of Windows 7 since Beta 1 first became available, and I have not run into any DRM issues yet.

Windows Vista is giving me a really hard time with Rhapsody and Plays4Sure (Rhapsody to Go), while Windows 7 works perfectly with Rhapsody and my SanDisk Sansa MP3 player...

Also, I find it funny that the things that the author is claiming are issues are things that you legally SHOULDN'T be doing (running application cracks, looping aud...

Personally, I'm hoping that automatic trophy sync is at least implemented in 2.7.

Voice messaging would be hella-sweet, but I doubt that it will make it in for 2.7.

I hardly consider a console manufactured in Asia and Mexico, then with customer support being based out of India, Indonesia, and the Phillipines to be an American product.

Sure, the parent company is based out of the US... But how many Americans are employed in the XBox division compared to of...

"Microsoft makes profits on the 360 already, Sony? No."

Really? So how much profit does Microsoft make off of the $199.99 Arcade models out there on the market? How much profit does Microsoft make off of the Pro or Elite?

The only 360 SKU that I can see being profitable for Microsoft is the Elite, and probably breaking even on the Pro. But trying to convince yourself that MS is making money off of the Arcade... LOL...

"What Nintendo made game do you consider shovelware?"

Let's see... Wii Play, Wii Music, Link's Crossbow Training... I could come up with more, but you get the picture...

Nintendo does come out with the occasional gem like Super Mario Galaxy and Metroid Prime: Corruption, but to even insinuate that Nintendo ONLY puts out grade-A games is false.

"If you haven't checked to see if your current pc's can handle Vista, what makes you think they could handle windows 7?"

Because the hardware requirements for Windows 7 are DOWN from Windows Vista. It is definitely a slimmer and sleeker OS than Vista ever was.

First off, how many copies is GameFly going to have to purchase to meet the demand?

Also, how many people are going to try it, really enjoy the online modes in Killzone 2, and pick up a copy? Judging from what people in the KZ2 online beta were saying about it, a good few would be a good guess... :-)

I think this all boils down to GG and Sony making some $$$ off of this title...

I don't see how topping out the GameFly charts is a bad thing for Killzone...

Seriously, Win7 does feel like a nice upgrade to Vista... Even in beta 1...

I was surprised to see that Windows 7 does not seem to need as much hardware-wise as Vista to provide a usable computing experience (and by usable, I mean you can have more than a couple of programs open at once before the hard drive starts thrashing from virtual memory swapping)

I have 4GB of RAM in my laptop, and dropping it down to 2GB had hardly an effect on the usability of my laptop (e...

Well... One thing to keep in mind is that as Microsoft phases out an OS, updates for that OS become less and less of a priority, raising the chances of an exploit becoming available without a fix coming anytime soon (if at all).

I highly doubt that Microsoft would unleash a virus/trojan/malware that would disable Windows XP. I would however expect that as updates for XP start phasing out, people find ways to exploit PC's still running XP since Microsoft will not be doing anythi...
