I was reading that they are working on guided quests and more traditional progression systems to entertain those who don't feel the whole roleplay element that comes with a solid crew embarking in and winning wild battles, stolen loot, etc.
The greatest fun was having that solid crew but the thing that always annoyed me is we always start with the same setup. Nothing special or unique to be had outside of the costly cosmetics. Been looking at Atlas, but hear it had a re...
Pirate Legend, Athena Lvl 6 and waiting for something worthwhile to set sail once again.
Enjoying my Xbox One X. It's great hardware that will last and be used for quite awhile into next gen. Yet, if it didn't have the nice edge for multi-platform games it does, I probably wouldn't be playing it as much. Most first party exclusives are also available on PC via gamepass. MS has great initiatives, like gamepass, play anywhere and backward compatibility with upscaling and enhancements have real value. However, Playstation has all the best games with many incredible exclu...
Debatable, I have an i7 / 1070ti and I'm expecting this to run 60fps at 1440p ultra on PC. However, Xbox One X should be able to push somewhere pretty close. Guess it depends on your rig, console available and if you prefer being locked away in an office or on the couch with a giant TV in HDR depending on your setup. Good to have options.
Hoping there is a 60fps performance mode for this one. 4K 30 is sweet, but 1080p-1440p @60fps is something else.
1080p Performance mode at 60fps, damn right. I own this game on the backlog and have been waiting for a patch. Everyone tells me it's not what I think, play it, it's amazing. Odd it's an exclusive without at least a resolution bump. Even ME Andromeda received one.
I'd be happy with a PS4 Pro update.
I'd give Sega another shot if they made a Dreamcast 2. It would have to be a powerhouse and they've have to invest in talented studios and innovate, not just rest on their old laurels. Loved that system, 56k modem, innovative memory cards, Soul Calibur, Resident Evil CNV, Jet Set Radio, Crazy Taxi, Phantasy Star Online, Sonic Adventure, Shenmue.
The beta should have been all anyone needed to cancel their pre-orders. It was pretty evident how terrible this game was going to be, at launch or otherwise. For the rest of us who didn't pre-order, there is youtube, twitch, mixer and metacritic.
They offered $5 worth of micro transaction credit, wow.
IMO PC gaming is an expensive hobby with great flexibility but its definitely not the best value. Five months ago I spent near $400 on a 1070ti, a deal and same cost of a new console. It really only rocks that one game I need it to. Then as new titles come out, need to tweak settings and comprise a bit. There is something to be said about the simplicity of powering on a machine for $500 bucks that just works, 65"+ HDR and all. Next gen consoles with Ryzen cpu's will be running most i...
Xbox family is pretty cool, I must say. I wasn't a believer until I bought an X1X and the system is pretty great in additional to the whole Windows play anywhere and gamepass system. PS4 Definitely has the upper hand with game streaming and clip recording however. MS gave us a nice system with the right capability but made some real bonehead software mistakes and still hasn't corrected them.
For bargain bin pricing, you can't go wrong and Bethesda is notorious for taking 8-12 months to get things working properly. On the flipside, they are one of the only companies who announce a game, then release it 3 months later, regardless of it's condition. It seem this one was an experiment which didn't turn out all that great. Hopefully, they'll go back to the drawing board, update their graphics engine and figure out how to implement coop mode without compromising the sto...
This is going to be an excellent $10 purchase in about 8 months when it's patched and works properly.
Little early in the season for heavy snowflakes. It's a game, a great one with carnage equality. Now excuse me, back to Horizon DLC; Aloy and I have some warlords to eviscerate. ;-0
Gears of War Ultimate on Xbox One X is...So good. Mr. B developed a franchise loved by and still played by millions. He had a flash of genius and vision, it came to fruition and changed the face of console gaming. Gears 1 & 2 were really something special. A+ for taking care of his team after closure, I don't doubt it. He's no more salty than the community he worked hard for and softening the edges of a sharp personality and developing humility doesn't come to everyone with ag...
I bought this game early access and what this small team has done is pretty incredible. It's fast, looks great, controls well and is a lot of fun. If you're a fan of the old "Rollcage" this game is for you.
I'm thinking red dead in winter for me. I'll likely start during the first major snowstorm with logs in the fire, little bourbon on the rocks and time to appreciate it.
Just play the game to earn your rewards, enjoy it, then take all money you would have spent on micro-transactions and buy stock in Activision (NASDAQ: ATVI). It's going to be a great fourth quarter. ;-)
No thanks Bethesda. Fallout has some of the best single player RPG experiences and VATS was unique and beautified an otherwise lackuster graphics engine, still it's was fun to use and watch. If you're going to turn Fallout into a co-op FPS with RPG elements, then at least tighten up that clunk-a-funk gunplay. IMO, Fallout 76 should have been a big expansion and MODE to Fallout 4.
I own both Pro and X, MS has a really nice platform but they've made some serious bonehead mistakes this gen and all the smart ip/studio acquisitions last year won't produce AAA exclusives until at least 2021. Until then I suspect, it's more Gears, Halo, Forza and maybe a surprise along the way like SoT, debatable. X is a great multi-platform system with the edge it has on graphics, but smash PlayStation next gen..not with all their exclusives on deck, back comparability to run to...
