Excellent. Paid maps are the big dividers of community.
I think GG should have a "donate" button for the maps right inside PSN! I'd donate a symbolic amount for their generosity.
"If only there was a way to have physical disk games that could be installed to have the same benefit of digital games but keep the ability to resell exclusively to the specific "authorized retailers" that MS allows you to "at pre-determined prices by MS". That would be a perfect combination.
"Oh wait, people ruined that dream by whining to MS when they weren't even going to buy a Xbox to begin with."
Fixed more.
And if they really like digital to take off, how about making digital titles 55 usd at launch, while disc could still retail for 60? After all, by buying digital, one is giving their right to re-sell an item, for the convenience of keeping it in a digital library. However, they don't want to do that, for various reasons, valid or not.
Ps Plus version is not the same, but very close. In any case, it certainly would affect pre-orders.
Oh, the clueless disagree. Could you please take a look at this:

Please see "Refused Classification".
Ironically, Australia is very keen on banning (by refusing to rate) certain games, and the only way to "break" the law is importing.
I'm a PES player but I'm all for more realistic physics. You have to take into account you are controlling a human which cannot change directions at the speed of light, and you can't change the ball direction anytime you like as ball contact is intermittent.
This. As long as the default behaviour is to not protect the customer, the companies share some responsibility, not because its their fault but because they make it so easy to buy stuff but then bury store preferences deep and don't remind people of their options.
An important part of the problem lies within the store system. The default behaviour should strictly be a password screen for each transaction, or maybe something along the lines of a screen unlock motion to remove barriers while providing some security. However, that's not the default behaviour. Once a password is entered, it's valid for a good while.
I sometime give my cell phone to my baby, and there's a lot of potential to buy stuff everywhere even by randomly...
Oh, glad Sony cleared the fog... I was fooled.
It seems the PS4 records the last 7 minutes:

I think it's sufficient for catching random phenomena, but I'm expecting an on-demand recording option with much bigger caps for longer recordings, that is saved to your HD. After all, the constant recording is there to catch interesting stuff, not for walk-throughs.

Glad to know!
I hope PS4 receives a game along the lines of Spark. I spent a lot of time with LBP, wasn't so keen on the sackboys. Making things that didn't have the sackboy flare was very hard. I'd have liked complete control.
I'm usually a mediocre player. I get the occasional first place in MP matches, but they are flukes. In single player games, it takes me usually 1.5 to 2 times longer to finish the game compared to the game length mentioned in reviews.
They seriously need to dial back those insane prices.
I'm tired of getting hyped up so early. Why isn't Gamescom only 3 days away!?
It just means they are reporting the maximum frequency found in the system, which matches the clock frequency of GDDR5. It doesn't provide information on multi-tasking.
Quantum Break is much more interesting.
From Gipsel@Beyond3d forums:
http://beyond3d.com/showpos...
"The 2.75GHz "maximum clock frequency in the system" is clearly the WCLK of the GDDR5 running at the announced 5.5 Gbps. GDDR5 needs two clock signals to work, one at 1.375GHz and the other one at the mentioned 2.75GHz (for 5.5Gbps operation), which is likely the highest clock in the system, not th...
I think Eye movement is not super hard to simulate, if you get the pattern right, you're just directing two spheres. But skin over muscle over bone, with skin sliding over muscles, fat tissue and bones, bulging and wrinkling realistically needs immense amount of rigging / computing / datasets. Some of these may be baked according to "skeletal" positions, but when there's interaction by an external force (a cloth pressing on the skin, another character touching the object, yo...
