You don't know how popular PES is I guess?
It's the de facto football game for many.
You are probably not strictly speaking about visuals, but even when talking about visuals, there are indeed so many things to improve in gaming, and pushing resolution is the laziest improvement of them all. Waste of resources if you think about it that way. In the visuals department, consoles have just caught up doing native resolution for our displays. Imagine if target resolution stayed the same but we got 8x more powerful consoles. All that "juice" per pixel would be 8x. If we w...
Diminishing returns?
Drive club says "Hi" for 30 times per second, P.Cars speaks a little faster.
For AAA games, yes. For anything else, no.
I agree with you on many points but I'd have gladly paid an extra 40-50 dollars for a better CPU! I think the GPU's are very capable in the new gen consoles, a lot of power compared to previous gen, but it's not the same case with CPU's.
Previous gen had very fast CPU's for their time (Xenon was very capable compared to PC cpus at the time, and Cell, although not super fast for general computing, blitzed through certain tasks that even current CPU's ha...
When you drink coffee, you are not just drinking coffee. You can keep doing your work / create things / study.
When you are gaming, you're just gaming (and maybe drinking coffee, lol). Gaming for more than a quarter day can easily be considered excessive for long periods of time.
Yeah, there may be a week or two with a game marathon when you do nothing but gaming beyond basic human needs, but when you are doing this for months to no end, I think it's ...
"frame" IS quality. (I get what you mean tho. You like your pixels looking better, I like pixels changing color faster.)
It would be nice if they kept the same angle for both shots for the best comparison. There's considerable improvement but if they knew what they were doing they'd go with similar angles.
Also when I click the pictures, pictures load in the same tab without a back navigation. Strange website code?
I want Skate on my PS4.
So it's a single player alpha of a normally multiplayer social game. Hmm?
But they did a mid-term release near full price to offset development costs. But I'm beginning to think that was Konami's decision to release Ground Zeroes, I'm not familiar with Kojima interviews talking about this tho.
I'm very curious about seeing how they'll do the presentation for MGSV in E3.
I think I'll pass (out).
The title failure:
"Bloodborne: PS4 memory leak..."
First, it's the game that leaks memory so it's not a "PS4 memory leak". If they mean PS4 version of Bloodborne by "Bloodborne: PS4", it's just on PS4 of course and not required in the title, especially at that word position anyway.
"PS4 memory leak" could be to attract additional people who are not interested in bloodborne but may be wondering what ...

Semitics? I guess you meant "semantics", lol. (I'm not anti-semantics, by the way.)
The video is unfortunately 30fps encoded at 60fps (every frame is doubled) so it doesn't represent the 60fps original video. The frames are merged, leaving a ghosting effect.
They are canning MLB14 servers in just a year, and this is a bad practice (but I'm sure most will get used to it). Closing a match making server that holds some stats for a peer 2 peer networked game, to make way for the new game in just a year is ridiculous: this is specially made worse by the fact that MLB14 PS4 players are actually paying to play online.
Way to mis-read my comment. Coding to the metal also implies, I hope you understand, that you are not hindered by an API and an API CAN drain performance, and that you CAN get more out of same number of transistors.
Consoles also have API's, but you have the advantage of fixed hardware so the programmers can "bypass" the API as much as the API allows it or use hardware specific implementations made available by the API without having to worry about multiple hard...
How is this news?
"Second Hand Xbox One for 209 usd" should be the title and it shouldn't have even gone among the hot topics.
