"The idea of a console that can have its hardware upgraded when its starts to become dated is a good one."
One advantage of traditional consoles is being able to target a specific hardware. Upgradable consoles are just PC's in console form factor. Not that it's a bad thing.
Valve's SteamBox's are good because it will decrease the relevance of Windows as a gaming platform, it will decrease the burden of having to pay for an OS just to...
I am sure there's a lot of exaggeration, last gen development workflows already involved in creating billion poly characters, high res textures, complex shaders. There's no doubt in my mind that you have to create more detailed virtual worlds and it takes more man hours, and that's what the Capcom manager talks about.
But 8-10 times man-hours. That doesn't mean 30 years of development, it may mean 8-10 times bigger teams.
Still an exaggeration, but you...
Close! He says "Ya, ben sizi seviyorum!"
Youngling: Hope it's what I'm thinking..
Father: You've been waiting for a month, of course we bought it.
Yougling: Vaaaaaayyy [A bit like wow] I love you both!"
He's probably been waiting for a month because the batch of PS4's dried up within a few hours at the 13th last month. We are receiving a new batch in a few days actually :)
Edit: Btw, did anyb...
Wake me up when there are enough PC's at this level of power, with enough install user base to actually make use of all that power as a *baseline* without having to cater for less powerful hardware.
Mentioned to be UP TO 45% faster. You can't talk about a definite percentage because the percentage differs with respect to the task, and the slide clearly reflecsts this by having "up to".
Yes, that came to mind. They may well be trolling the "get even" hackers, I'm sorry for Austin Taylor Thompson guy if this is indeed the case, just used as a cover up.
When you are interrupting the service yourself (DDoS), it misses the point completely. It's like plastering the doors of a public bus completely and expect bus makers to change their ways to accommodate for people plastering the door.
Steam is good for PC. It has the most basic form of online DRM (simple login), it has a robust offline mode. If publishers choose to put extra layers, it is their fault.
You can't have your cake and eat it, there has to ...
Part of the blame lies in Steam. Steam can choose what it publishes in their library, and it should NOT allow always online single player games in its library. It can opt to not generate revenue from such games, and the publishers can choose to not use Steam. A wise publisher would opt to use Steam. If the publishers are any smart, they should let Steam handle their DRM for them, which I find fair.
The only time they need extra DRM layers is when they SELL a physical copy to ...
It would probably sell like hot cakes if priced correctly (20-30) and released in the correct -dry- period. Now they will wonder why they won't be able to recoup their development costs.
I hate the touchpad on my laptop and always use mouse, but the fact that there is touch-pad standard increases the potential of games supporting point and click interfaces, and because PS4 has support for both USB and Bluetooth mice, so that's good news. (The devs would still have to map Ds4 buttons to k/b and provide alternatives to the analogue sticks)
Thx. So if a good deal comes up, one could use it even in the middle of a membership.
*double post
Guys, for already existing members, do these membership purchases add to the end of the membership, at whatever point in time you redeem the code?
I don't find this acceptable. This is a cheap tactic to force migration to GT6.
It's not a question of whether they can legally do it or not because they are not promising service. The decent thing to do would be to keep it alive by at least allowing people to rent their own servers, after 2-3 years a game is out, for example. It should be made an industry standard.
People expecting something familiar, yet slightly different.
Again, the title and article missing the point completely, if they are only considering the "I can't believe my eyes" comment.
He said "I can't believe my eyes when I know this picture comes from an MMOgame." Speficifically mentioning the type of game and the average IQ you expect from such games. He didn't say he can't tell the difference, and he didn't even say "this picture comes from a game", which still wouldn't mean ...
Don't worry, with consoles sporting 8 cores, with 6 cores available, you'll see a lot of games adjusting to the extra cores, making efficient use of as many cores as possible has become much more feasible for devs.
There always needs to be towel in those fixes.
It's not showcasing the rendering tech, they did a good job with the likeness of players (NBA Live is very bad, on the other hand)
Anectodal: my previous DELL (5 years old) had an excellent LCD, great viewing angle and response time with UXGA and good color reproduction. It was a true productivity laptop. My latest Samsung laptop (NP550) has an absolutely shitty LCD, with very bad ghosting and very bad viewing angle with very bad color reproduction. I ordered it off the internet, the specs were fine and I couldn't have guessed the screen could be this awful from Samsung.
