@Darkblood:
I don't know about the Off-TV Play feature's specs, how much does it use Wii U's computational power, or how hard it is to implement.
But in the remote play case on the PS4, it comes for free, as in when you are using the feature, the game will still have the same resources. Devs do not have to put their hearts into it, just make sure things do not break when using the Vita, like a PS Eye only action to pass a certain part of the game ...
For games that support local multiplayer, multiple player login support on Xbox is mandatory. A game has to use the player login system of the Xbox. Sony made local multiplayer login possible later on (although like a hack), but didn't make it mandatory. What we had was even games like Castle Crashers or even COD didn't even care to allow it (they do on the Xbox)
Youtube link to the point they said they are bundled or it didn't happen. :)
The lightbar is not solely designed for the PS Eye, It can flash and change color based on player status, and also will be used instead of controller number. DS4 using the light bar or the eye being able to track the DS4 is not a proof of default bundle. They are designed in tandem, and work nicely together.
Again, I think they're going to bundle it, but please point us to wh...
I'd like you to find me a solution to get dual analog stick, 15 button configuration of the DS4 to work on anything else than a Vita. Even still, the L2 R2 L3 R3 functions have to be remapped on Vita, although in usable manner using the rear touch.
Sony has "Second Screen" function to work on any smart phone / tablet to accompany games.
Games like Call of Duty can afford to put its multiplayer in segments, there are so many players to begin with, that even 10% of active players buy the DLC, that means hundreds of thousands of players to play the game with.
Games like TLOU should NOT fragment the user base!! Multiplayer DLC/map packs does exactly that. There will already be a limited amount of people playing the multiplayer. I agree with
blennerville's sentiments.
This is why I bought the Vita for, I have less and less influence on what happens on my TV nowadays, and remote play will be my gaming life's saviour. Luckily I also acquired PS+, it turns out Vita is the only thing I [can] play.
So yes, good news for me!
I too think they will be bundled, but for the camera, could you point me to where they said it?
All I remember is that the DS4 and the camera was designed in parallel.
It's not "required" for DS4 to work at all, but it can track the lightbar. Games MAY use it for additional stuff, but given this information of mandated Vita Remote play, games will not use the light bar tracking for exclusive gameplay related actions, they have to have a fallback on the Vita.
I'd hope Vita's camera was of higher quality. I'm surprised Sony went ultra cheap with those (the sensors they use on phones and the eye is really top notch) but Vita's camera is so bad you have noise even in daylight conditions. That's one negative aspect and affects the AR experience, you really need to play it perfect lighting conditions.
But if there's solidarity between publishers, as in, black mailing Sony unanimously for their own stupid agenda, Sony may bend under pressure. What it may do, however, is to not implement such DRM on their own published titles. This way, it would have listened gamers, while shifting the blame to the correct direction: publishers.
I don't think Publishers will want a vastly different market model on any of the consoles. What I think is, Sony will provide them with the means to do this DRM on the PS4, but will opt to not do it for their own published games. Even that would be quite a feat.
It has a depth sensor, you probably need a mannequin. I'm not sure about the heat sensing, but if that's the case, you need to keep your mannequin warm.
I can see the future: Between COD sessions, people will hunt for ads to get MS points.
Btw, leaving the Xbox on won't give any rewards. Your head will have to be looking at the direction of the TV.
Kinect 3 on the Xbox Two will be able to track your eye-balls, so you won't be able to look elsewhere if you want the ad rewards.
The emotional-attachment-to-dog is an XBone exclusive.
@logicwins.
I don't think saving 3 seconds on a 5 second task you do 10 times a day is important. It could be important if you did this 100 times maybe.
Also, responding to gesture control means a gesture recognition software running ALL the time. Same for voice commands. I'm glad we don't have these features always on on the PS4, not only because of security, but because of the unnecessary strain on the system, those transistors is better off wor...
If I were Infinity Ward, I'd change the part of the script that the dog dies RIGHT NOW.
I'm glad you guys don't have super powers for real!
Very impressive. I remember them moving away from gaming into other areas, and they seem to have found their spot... I don't expect them to bring much to Gaming industry tho.
No, it won't deter anyone, please see my comment with two lit bubbles.
