I believe it too. Mass Effect 1, despite a few small flaws, was still a 9.5 to me. The overall experience was that good in my opinion. Mass Effect 2 seems like it has been improved upon in many ways and there have been many reviewers that scored it a perfect 10 or in the high 9s, so I believe you when you say this game deserves it.
Great review, man. It was an enjoyable read and really got me excited for the game. It sounds incredible.
What are all these amazing games you play on your PS3, Major Jack Hoff? I own both consoles and I honestly find more games I want to play on my 360 than my PS3. 2009 was the PS3's best year and the only games I really liked were Uncharted 2, Killzone 2 and Demon's Souls. I don't know, a lot of PS3 exclusives like Resistance 2 just feel second rate to me and I almost never buy any multiplatform games for my PS3. My 360 gets most of my gaming time and the PS3 is my movie player and there fo...
I'm not going to bother looking it up right now, but I know gametrailers have given some very high scores to PS3 exclusives. Maybe they just love Mass Effect 2, like most reviewers seem to.
Just because nobody has wanted to make a game with 256 players on the 360 doesn't mean that it would be any problem. It's just networking code. It doesn't have much to do with the graphical power of the console.
Maybe nobody has done it on the 360 for the same reason that MAG is not being well received, that is, more players does not make a better game.
True. Mass Effect 2 is the best looking RPG on any console hands down.
Another perfect score. It's nice seeing this game getting such positive critical reception.
Major why don't you go jack hoff somewhere and quit talking nonsense.
You act like there haven't been any good games to play on the 360 and that is utter bollocks. I have had more games than I can handle to tell you the truth. Mass Effect 2 only makes the situation worse.
Of course a lot of them are lying, but don't let it bother you. Just enjoy this masterpiece of a game.
Argh, I can't take it any more. I need this game now!
Nice to hear. Conviction is one of my most anticipated upcoming games. Now I just need to figure out how I am going to afford all of them.
It would have been stupid for Microsoft to put a Bluray or HD-DVD drive in the 360. Nobody knew which disc format would ultimately win and it would have greatly increased the cost of the console. On top of all that the advantage of Bluray is of limited use for games. Quite simply, most games this generation do not even fill a DVD.
Going with DVD was the right choice for Microsoft.
Sony had a vested interest in Bluray, but if that wasn't the case I can virtually gu...
I never scratch any of my discs and I fail to see how having more than one disc in a game would make me any more prone to scratching a disc. It doesn't make sense. Just imagine that second disc as a second game. I don't get why I would be any more likely to scratch a second disc in a set than I would be to scratch a second game.
No, it's because most developers don't want to spend the time or money to create worlds that big that many gamers will never finish, which would also cause the price of games to go up. That is the real reason most games fit on a DVD this generation. A bigger capacity format will be very useful next generation, but it definitely isn't necessary this generation.
If all games were as long as Mass Effect 2 I would simply play far fewer games, because I wouldn't have the time to get...
If it is a 10 hour game I seriously doubt that it would need more than one disc. And even if it did, so what? Are you really saying it has more content than ES4 Oblivion? That game was huge and fit on a single dvd.

You mean like this article? http://n4g.com/NewsCom-4628...
You can see that there were far more PS3 fanboys in that article than there were 360 fanboys.
There seem to be more 360 fanboys in this article than usual, but they still haven't outnumbered the PS3 fans so it is still not as bad as it usually is in 360 articles. In many of those Halo reach articles there were actually more...
I have both consoles and while I lean towards the 360 I think this game looks really interesting. I think it will turn out to be good.
I like the game, but I don't think the graphics are that amazing. They look a lot like the graphics in Home and I wonder if they might be using the same engine. The graphics look good, but there are other games on both consoles that I think look better. Uncharted 2 on PS3 and Alan Wake on 360, to name a few.
Well, Uncharted 2 is also a great game.
I think I will like Mass Effect 2 more simply because I like deep story driven experiences with branching paths and character development through RPG mechanics. I also like action games and shooters, and Mass Effect was a nearly perfect blend of that. Mass Effect 2 just cranks it up to the next level.
