Yeah, but you were playing the PC version so it must be your setup. I didn't see such a glitch in the 360 version. I saw a few minor glitches just like you see in every game, but nothing serious. Mass Effect 2 is an amazingly polished game, especially considering the amount of content it offers.
And you can't honestly believe there aren't glitches in Uncharted 2. I saw several of them in my play through of the game. There are also quite a few multiplayer glitches. Just type...
The graphics are shaping up nicely. It already looks amazing.
I do think the 360 is going to have an outstanding year. The lineup is amazing and I am excited to see what MS do with Natal.
Get out of here with your arrogant fanboy crap.
Do you really expect anybody to take you seriously when you say the 360 hasn't had any games for the past two years? The 360 has had more games released in the past two years than the PS3 has.
Everything you said is fanboy delusion at its worst. If you like the PS3 better, fine. But the PS3 is not superior. I have both consoles and they both have advantages over the other. I prefer the 360 for a variety of reasons,...
I would bet anything that Mass Effect 2 will not be coming to the PS3. But I guarantee you that if it ever did it would run and look noticeably worse. It has the kind of graphics that the 360 is good at and the PS3 is poor at. It's just not the kind of game that would run particularly well on the PS3.
Hmm... your loss.
Wow, what a delusional mess your comment is.
Mass Effect 2 deserves every bit of the critical acclaim it is getting.
I have played through both Uncharted games and while they are among my favorite games this generation I still have to say that I love Mass Effect 2 even more. It has become my favorite game of all time.
Every game has little nitpicks like these. Uncharted 2 was also a AAA game and it had little things about it that bothered me. Or maybe not even bothered me, but just I noticed certain things. Similar things to Mass Effect 2, like when you are in a battle you will see things conveniently placed for you to use as cover. Like on the train the way the boxes were stacked or placed was convenient to have a shootout with, but wouldn't be the way the boxes would be stacked in real life. Big dea...
I read dozens of Uncharted 2 reviews and they all said the presentation was excellent, but I don't remember any saying that it was better than any other game. Maybe a couple did. But there were also a couple Gears of War 2 reviewers that said it looked better than any other game, but PS3 fanboys never respect that or bow down to those opinions.
Reviewers typically avoid comparing a game's graphics with other games, especially across platforms.
In any case it doesn't m...
3 with better graphics? Try several hundred with better graphics. The Xbox was significantly more powerful than the PS2.
I get the feeling you were a PS2-only gamer last generation.
Oops, bringing out the old kineticninja blog. That thing has been dismantled and shown to be false long ago.
Moving on...
"Which is why there hasn't been a single graphically impressive 360 game in years."
Umm, I played a really graphically impressive game a little over a year ago called Gears of War 2 and another super impressive game a few days ago called Mass Effect 2, so I can't say I agree.
What, are you saying that any game with a huge budget is automatically a triple A game? Obviously not. Lair and Too Human had big budgets, but very few people would call them AAA.
Either it can be objectively quantified by reviews and sales, or it is a totally nebulous and subjective term that really means nothing. If it is just down to individual opinion we might as well not use the term, because my triple-A game might be your single-A game, or worse.
I always th...
Doesn't change the fact that around a third of all PS3 games require a mandatory installation that takes minutes. Switching a disc takes seconds and only a few 360 games have multiple discs anyway.
I'm exactly like you. I have learned through experience that the 360 versions of multiplatform games are nearly always better. At worst the two versions look about equal. I have never seen a 360 version look worse overall.
I use gamefly and I borrow games from friends, buy a lot of games, and also download a lot of demos. I have never seen a PS3 version look better. That is why I am extremely skeptical of the idea that this will look better on the PS3. I'm waiting patiently...
Where has it been confirmed that the PS3 version of FFXIII has short load times? I would love to see that.
Even if this game and a few others have short load times and no installation, that doesn't change the fact that those guys are right that many PS3 games either have a mandatory installation or longer load times.
I know, just look at those PS3 fans trying to justify mandatory installs. Despicable, isn't it. ;-)
Karum, yes it does. Alan Wake is clearly a top graphical contender. Quit trying to downplay it because it isn't on your favorite console.
Talk about beating a dead horse. I am reading through all these comments and all of the known 360 fans don't have a problem with disc swapping, it's all the known PS3 fans that are complaining. I find that hilarious.
It's interesting because the last time this came up somebody linked to a list of all of the games on the PS3 that require a mandatory installation and it was found that nearly a third of the PS3's total library of games require an installation. A third! What perc...
"Commander Shepard is back and the first thing that blows you away in Mass Effect 2 is the quality of the new graphics. From the start, this doesn't feel like any ordinary video game because the detail and the vividness of the colours in Mass Effect 2 make you believe you've stepped into a movie."
I fully agree with this. The amazing graphics make the experience just that much richer. Mass Effect 2 currently has the best graphics in any game I have played on a console...
I thought the characters and environments in Mass Effect 2 were just stunning to look at. Uncharted 2's were as well, but they just have a different look about them. Mass Effect 2 has a clean polished look and Uncharted 2 has a little bit more of a natural analogue look to it. I couldn't really say which one looks better, as they both looks so different from each other while both looking stunning.
