@Haro
Nope. THAT is an opinion.
You seem not to know the difference.
Well, they probably have done their best. Building a custom engine from the ground up for the PS3 was out of the question. The amount of money and time it would have required would never have been worth it. They wouldn't have made enough money back on the game to even cover the costs of development.
I honestly think Bioware did as good a job as we can reasonably expect from them.
It doesn't matter if the average frame per second is 29.5 in both games, in reality there is a big difference in the way both versions perform.
If you play both versions you will see that the PS3 version feels stuttery and the 360 version feels much, much smoother. The reason is because the PS3 version fluctuates so much between its highest and lowest FPS.
A smooth frame rate is what is important. I don't care what the maximum FPS is or average FPS ...
I agree with you there. I am not a huge console fan, but the reason I own my PS3 is for games like Uncharted.
Cool. This shows off the game a lot better than the previous video did.
"It would help the cause of people like that if they would provide evidence of their "higher learning" and experience, but alas they will never do so because in essence, they are really just full of shit."
Kind of like you.
It's only ok for you to act like you know something, right DB?
@BrianB
I agree. Alan Wake felt so much more like a living place. Killzone 2 felt kind of sterile and synthetic to me.
the_best_player is just mad because he knows Rage looks better than any PS3 game.
No, you're not the only one. You have to be a hardcore Sony fanboy in order for Sony to supply you with the special glasses needed to see the huge difference between the two builds. To us normal gamers they look about the same, with just a difference in the color palette.
Yep, I see a difference in color palette, but little else. The game still looks great, but I think people are seeing what they want to see.
"A less expensive inferior product outselling a more expensive superior product....this has been the American way of life for generations."
Yeah, like the PS1 and PS2 right?
Such stupid Americans! They didn't recognize the PS1 and PS2 were inferior junk. /s
Seriously, you sound like a complete tool.
You're so full of crap, jleack. You would probably lie to your own mom just to try to make the PS3 look good.
Just a minute ago I played the PS3 demo and it doesn't look as good as the PC version and it definitely doesn't look much different than the 360 version. It seems to run slightly worse in fact.
MGS4 is so freaking overrated graphically. I was just playing the Dead Space 2 demo and that looks WAY better than MGS4.
I agree, they went too easy on the PS3 Bioshock 2. If anything, LOT have a tendency to do their best to sway things in the PS3s favor. I have seen several comparisons where they bent over backwards to find insignificant little details to make it seem like it all balanced out when when I played the same two versions it was obvious that the 360 version was superior in the ways that really have an impact on the visuals.
But I still think LOT do a generally good job and they ar...
The problem is, IGNs video didn't match up to my 360 copy either. As far as I know Lens of Truth uses direct capture of the source.
Haha.. what's lame is the people that always say that stupid crap about it only be a matter of a couple pixels. Most of the time we are talking about differences of frame rate, screen tearing, resolution, texture quality, anti-aliasing. Sorry, but as a multi-console owner those things do matter to me and actually impact my enjoyment.
I once bought Chronicles of Riddick Dark Athena for the PS3 and I later borrowed the 360 version from a friend and couldn't believe ho...
Great comment, EVILDEAD360. I feel the same way.
The way I see it, most of these people just use the PC as a convenient way to diminish the 360. I would be willing to bet many of them do not own gaming PCs as they claim to.
But even the ones that truely do own gaming PCs are still so out of whack in their thinking. They always act like everybody should do like they do and think like they do. It's more like they are thinking about how they can avoid ...
@Chubear
I fully admit that next year's 360 lineup is looking weak for my tastes. But by the same token this year the 360 lineup was much better than the PS3 lineup for my tastes.
The PS3 only had GOW3 that strongly appealed to me this year. The 360 had several games that I had to buy - like Mass Effect 2, Alan Wake, Splinter Cell Conviction, Fable 3 and Halo Reach. There was also Heavy Rain on the PS3 and Metro 2033 on the 360.
My poi...
The PS3 could catch up and even surpass the 360, or the 360 might hold on to its lead. Both of those are possible outcomes. The PS3 killing off the 360 is absurd.
I thought it was wrong to distinguish consoles from the PC.
You PS3 fans always want to act like the PC is a valid gaming platform when you are trying to argue that the 360's console exclusives have no value in terms of the console war.
But you want to ignore the PC when talking about the best graphics in video games. Why?
Quit running to the PC when it is convenient and then ignoring it when it stops serving your purposes.
