Ok, charmers, but use your head here a little bit.
Why would Microsoft even bother with creating and sustaining the Games for Windows label if it does not benefit them in any way? Clearly it does.
Whether directly or indirectly Microsoft benefits from the health of the PC as a platform.
So, if a person thinks they are sticking it to Microsoft by getting themselves a gaming rig and buying PC games, they are seriously mistaken.
One way or another you are benefiting Microsoft if you play on the PC.
He was obviously making fun of the people who say they are getting it on the PC.
Sorry, but after you revealed yourself to be a big fat PS3 fanboy in your comment above I don't believe you.
You guys think you are hurting the 360 by saying that crap, but you really aren't.
Many of these console exclusive games sell better on the 360 than most PS3 exclusives do. They are clearly having the desired impact on the 360.
Come on, let's set this straight.
Fact 1: A whole lot of PS3 fanboys likely just lie about getting it for the PC.
Fact 2: There are real PC owners that really do plan to get it for their PCs.
Fact 3: When there is an article about a multiplatform game like, say, Assassin's Creed 2 I almost never hear someone mention that they are "getting it for the PC".
It seems that only when it is a PC/360 game do so many fanboys pull out the...
None of the actual gameplay videos have impressed me, but these do show improvement.
PS3 droids have no brains. :(
Oh and PS3 has no games. ;)
"what about Killzone 2 and Uncharted 2 who both have been critically acclaimed as the best looking console games?"
Mostly by PS3 fanboys. How many reviews specifically said they were the best looking console games? Very few.
I am not disagreeing that they are some of the best looking games around, I am just taking issue with your exaggeration of things.
Wipeout HD is not consistently 1080p for one thing. It has a dynamically throttled resolu...
But weren't you one of the people saying that having multiple discs was so horrible?
In any case, whether it was you specifically or not, PS3 fanboys in general are very hypocritical about this issue. They will attack the 360 all day for having a couple games that use more than one disc, but when the issue of mandatory installations comes up PS3 fans generally try to act like it is a non-issue.
People keep saying that the PS3 has outsold the 360 worldwide since it launched, but that idea doesn't really hold up under scrutiny. Based on recently released numbers from both platform holders the 360 appears to be around 7 million ahead right now, which is more than it was ahead at the time the PS3 launched. So how again could the PS3 have been outselling the 360 all this time and not close the gap? It doesn't make sense.
Well actually have you seen that new Mass Effect 2 video? http://www.gamersworldbd.co... I can't believe how much better it looks. It is impossible to compare the two games because they have a completely different artistic and graphical approach. Nevertheless, I would say that in some ways it does look better than Uncharted 2.
Good point, Sack Boi. A lot of times people want to compare these games when they aren't even an apples to apples comparison.
What I don't like about that blog comparison is that most of the comparison was based on character models using an unnaturally zoomed in camera. You are never going to be staring face to face with a Locust like that long enough to notice those fine of details. Or how about that shot looking up between Dom's legs? What was that about? Regardless, when ...
Gears...except way more generic and with much worse graphics.
Actually I don't remember any comparisons between Xbox exclusives and PS2 exclusives last generation. For example, they never compared a game like Chronicles of Riddick to God of War. It's a good thing I guess, because the PS2 would have been slaughtered in every comparison.
Not to mention that Motorstorm 2, MGS4, and GT5 Prologue do not look better than the better games on the 360. Forza 3 definitely looks better than GT5 Prologue, because I compared those two myself and there was no doubt.
But yeah, you are right in that you can't really compare exclusive to exclusive because you end up comparing totally different graphical styles, differences in the sizes of levels, amount of enemies, and on and on. You can never sort out all those differences a...
The PS3 wins on like maybe two exclusives and the 360 wins on something like hundreds of multi-platform games. I wouldn't be bragging about that.
Technically Dragon Age has better textures (in some places) on the PS3 version, while the 360 version has a better frame rate. It's a wash.
The difference isn't invisible to the naked eye. If you actual had both consoles and saw many of these games for yourself you would know that the differences are often very real and substantial.
Yeah, but if an exclusive has a slight advantage over another exclusive pound away on that point and exaggerate it as much as possible, mirite?
But let's downplay any differences between multi-platform games.
"its funny you mention that because GOW collections still looks better and run smoother than some of
the 360's games releases this Year."
Wha? It has become obvious to me that when some of you say something has good graphics you are really just talking about art. From a technical perspective GOW 1 & 2 are inferior to every game on the 360 or PS3. The textures are extremely low resolution, the "lighting" goes no further than some specular highlight...
