Simply awesome. It looks to have amazing gameplay and the graphics are some of the best around. Loved the song in the trailer.
Your just listing things you like about Killzone and saying Crysis 2 can't be as good because it doesn't have those things. But you know, what about those things that Crysis 2 does better than Killzone 2? The freedom and scale of the environments just to name one.
No, he's not a PS3 fanboy for those reasons, he's just a PS3 fanboy. PS3 is his god and he hates on anything to do with the 360.
Why do people who have a consistent track record of being PS3 fanboys try to go into 360 articles and talk trash and then act like they are just neutral gamers with some sensible "concerns". It's a stupid game.
Nice.
What's your point? The 360 gets Gears 3, Portal 2, Crysis 2 and Halo Reach.
Exactly. This is easily the best looking shooter I have seen running on consoles. The amount of detail in the environments, and especially the amount of movement and destructibility surpass anything I have seen on consoles.
But certain people with a certain brand of fanboy goggles on will never admit it.
Killzone 2, like most games on the PS3, is a nice looking, but overrated game. The graphics are nice, but not nearly as nice as ps3 fanboys like you make it out to be. Crysis 2 looks better to me. Way more stuff going on, way more dynamic, more realism and destructibility, better and faster movement, etc.
Hot damn! That looked awesome. Best graphics I have seen on consoles to date. I don't know though, Rage or Brink might surpass it. Who knows.
What I do know is that aside from the new Crysis 2 footage, Vanquish totally surprised me. It looks almost as good as Crysis 2 and pretty much better than most other shooters out there. It also looks insane and fresh in terms of gameplay.
Nonsense. There was no difference in the shadows. What IS blatantly noticeable is that the PS3 version looks a lot softer, even in that low quality video. Blown up to full screen and full resolution on an HDTV the difference will be quite significant.
Either way it is still going to be an enjoyable game, but let's not lie to ourselves.
Actually, that hasn't been proven. It's an opinion.
There are literally hundreds of multi-platform games that look better on the 360. On the other hand there are a couple PS3 exclusives that arguably look a little better than the best 360 exclusives so far. Neither situation truly proves anything. There are far too many variables.
Lot's of developers have told us they are essentially equal in power, and therefor that is what I believe.
No, I thought it was well known that the PS3 Ratchet games were sub HD.
Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction = 960x704
Ratchet & Clank: A Crank in Time = 960x704
http://forum.beyond3d.com/s...
There are sub HD games on both systems, but if you check the above link you will see that there are more sub HD games on the PS3.
"they may not have maxed out memory on the 360 but it sure looks like the CPU is pinned."
Yeah, but how is that any different than what Naughty Dog said about Uncharted 2 using 100% of the cell? It's not different. An engine can max out a processor depending on how the engine utilizes that processor, but you can always write more efficient engines. The fact that they have 100MB of memory left over in some instances is astounding considering the level of graphics the...
More like games4 PS3 fanboys. The whole video was so damn biased.
Let's see we have:
Gushing over MAG
Jabs at Halo 3
Hyping Kratos as the best video game character ever
Yep, sounds exactly like what you would hear from any PS3 fanboy on this site.
I could have enjoyed it if they weren't so biased and at least made an attempt at impartiality.
Looking at those screen shots it is impressive just how much better the character models and textures are in Halo Reach as compared to Killzone 2.
How does it compete with those games? It just does. If you know anything about graphics there is no way to deny that Halo Reach is bringing something impressive to the table. It is using a dynamic lighting engine with HDR and deferred rendering which results in some of the best lighting in any console game. It also has high quality textures, excellent particle effects, and great post processing effects like motion blur. Halo Reach, all things considered, is simply one of the best looking...
Exactly, Shaman. You really understand it. All these theoretical numbers that Sony throws out are only so much marketing spin. They have no meaning in the real world. Sony always does it. They did it with the PS2 and the numbers they gave for that console were never even close to being achievable in the real world. It's basically lying and adding up all kinds of arbitrary numbers that can never be achieved at the same time in the hopes of impressing people that don't have any technical ...
You guys are all dragging Square's name through the mud over this and coming up with all kinds of conspiracy theories about Microsoft paying them off to disguise the PS3 version as the 360 version in an effort to protect the 360 version. But what if they are trying to protect the PS3 version? What if all of you are hating on them and they are actually trying to protect the PS3's version?
I'm not going to say anything else about this for now, but if the 360 version comes out loo...
Lack of studios? Kind of true. But lack of games? Crazy talk. The 360 has far more games than any other current gen console.
Nowhere do they claim that the game can only be played on the 360, they are just letting people know that this big game is available on the 360.
Yeah the commercial is awesome. It's good to make people aware of the games available on your console.
Please tell me what was so great about Sony's conference. It was basically like Microsoft's--too much time spent on motion controls and few new game announcements. They both showed some awesome games that we already knew about.
It is a general consensus that Nintendo came back this year and had the best E3 showing.
