Id like to be optimistic about hardcores liking that flat controller. But then I think its kind of like holding a skinny chick with no chest or butt. I mean theres just no sexy curves there to be seen, idk.
However, for more casual and nintendo fans I can see the appeal of new game experiences that screen in the center could add.

U cant really build your own laptop. For w/e reason the manufacturers have all the parts on lockdown and all the most motherboards dont even let u upgrade the graphics cards.
True games get bigger, but as u said hard drives get bigger too (unless they give with expensive ssd's).
But ... I dont need 100 games on the fly on my hard drive at any given point. This is how my current steam games are organized. I dont need all 55 on my hard drive at once. A half dozen, sure. The rest can stay in the cloud for when I get around to playing them for all I care.

It's human nature to be jealous of successful ventures and successful people. And if you can just one up them in some way, even if its a small morale victory, it makes alot of people feel warm and fuzzy inside.
Just look at other popular things that are cool to hate on. NY Yankees, any rich movie star, etc. It's like the wolves just sit back licking thier chops and wait for the slightest opening to go after.
Idk all my good games I download onto the hard drive now anyways for better peformance like what pc users do.

Sadly, you just cant win with reviews and negative opinions with successful franchises. If ME3 didnt change up many things, it would have been heavily critized as being stale and uninspired.
I bet most of the negative folks here are the same types that if they won the lottery, they would whine about paying taxes on it instead of how great it is to have so much money. Just the nature of alot of folks to be so cynical.
