Why doesn't Sony just make a model with no hard drive and charge like $20-40 less? Seems like that would make more sense.

MS had a nasty legal battle (and well documented if u google it) with Nvidea which is why they had to end support soon. However they did keep the Xbox 1 online networks up and running for like 4 years after the 360 was released.

Too bad theres very little profit in the actual hardware. Software sales, especially dlc and digital sales make up far more profit then the hardware and its not even close. In that regard, the wii lags way behind sony and ms.

Of course they want gaming leaps. But they dont want to pay alot for it. Thats where sony and ms are caught between a rock and a hard place atm.
A console cant nor shouldnt be a gaming PC. I dont want the headache of dealing with viruses, spam, pop-ups, hacks, cheaters, and incompatible hardware.
Really though many hardcore gamers werent asking too much for nintendo to make thier system a moderate increase from 6 year old tech in sony and ms.
Maybe the first year you just break even on the system, but after that you make profit on each system. Geez software, online content, and accessories have far more profit than the system itself. Very disappointing nintendo cant understand that.

Steel Battlion, Fable, and maybe Star Wars Kinect (havent read much on that yet because Ive been busy lately). These are legit titles for the kinect.
