I still cant program any controller to work on my gaming pc. They make it stupid hard to do such a simple task. Youd think with all the advanced hardware in PC's, they'd have time to make a stadard plug and play controller.
The reality is that PC's have been held back by only a small segment ever owning top end equipment, so it isnt profitable to optimize software to the fulliest.
Equally as detrimental to pc gaming is that many pc owners just bit torrent alot of games for free, so the game makers make zero profit off of this.
Cheaper, but less convient. Plus i prefer to use a gaming laptop so i can lounge in my reclining chair.
Thier next handheld needs to have dual analogs. Inexcusable after 15 years of it being the standard in every console, but the wii and ds.
At least the Wii U is finally implementing it, but its kind of like your low-life drunken relative showing up several hours late to the xmas party. Seems a bit late, but I guess but then not at all.
Im not one to question people tastes, but I just dont get the portable gaming craze. Idk call me nuts, but when Im in a car ride with my son, I prefer to talk to him rather than have him veg out to a movie or game. When Im at home theres no way Im playing on a 5" screen vs my choice of a 46" or 62" screen in the livingroom. Last, when Im at work, I do the crazy and do work while Im there (for those who do so little at work as to be able to get away with using a vita at work, wh...
Most updates are just to keep one step ahead of hackers so they arent of much benefit to gamers.
Vita is kind of irelevant tbh, when it comes to console discussions. Its and entirely different gaming venue that I personally cant stand looking at a small screen.
Not to take anything away from the the Vita, I love the new dual analog controls, but i just cant get into those portable devices. They are basicly a very small niche segment of the population.
Not really a valid comparison to compare the Xperia (which has very outdated hardware compared to more modern smart phones and is like 2 years old now), to a handheld gaming device only.
Not only that, but I really wouldnt want to be under a 2 year contract with verizon or at+t only to have my data capped at 2G or 5G.
PC games are far too stolen through bit torrents for that to ever be the dominate platform. Alot of games for the pc are only profitable because they are ports from consoles and already made thier profits there.
If any game looks very cartoony (95% of ninty's lineup) and has a sequel in the double digits (i.e. Mario 34) Im not interested. I gave up cartoons when I was much younger.
Changed or expanded? Idk seems like nowadays like there's excessive ammounts of games that get released every week. I personally cant keep up with them all, since I do alot of online gaming. So for me the fact that there isnt 25 games released every month isnt a big deal.
You do know ms has made dozens of new IPs but they dont end up ever selling well. Thats both sony, ms, and to a much larger extent nintendo opt for sequels.
If you cannot afford to connect to the internet, then you should be working more hours to afford the net and less complaining about your crappy connection.

Actually there is. MS/Sony heavily subsidize thier consoles the first few years and make no profits. Secondly it will be another 1-3 years before they are even released. Third MS/Sony dont run windows which is a huge resource hog on the processor and graphics card.
Imo best gen yet. Online play has been outstanding on ps3 (as of past couple of years), MS (always has had superb online, but with a price tag) All except Ninety which still has bugs to work out there, but I belive the WiiU will get online right.

Patent issues dont usually ever involve right or wrong or other such morality issues.
Its generally one company saying anothers product represents something they patented in someway. Aka Apple suing Samsung and HTC for making rectangular shaped cell phones.
