Yes, they can. Same reason your employer has no obligation to put your name on any of the products you work on that they own rights to.
Something big must have gone down for them to deal with the likely aftermath.
Konami humored him by allowing his team to be prominently displayed on their property. It seems Kojima did something to piss the head boss off enough to shame him by expunging his name from the metal gear property.
Likely scenarios:
1) Kojima tried a power struggle to become head of Konami,
2) Kojima tried to wrestle the IP control from Konami,
3) Money, or
4) Creative differences
My guess is 1 or 3...
A new system in 2016 or 2017 will be marginally better than what the PS4 and Xbox 1 can do. It will have to start out fresh with 0 quantity on the market. To be better than the other systems, the it would likely have to be priced around $400-$500. Also consider the backlash from the current adopters who bought a system just to see it go out in 4 years.
In 2016/2017 the other two systems will likely have an install base of 50-70mil total. What generation do you think the l...
Wii U + Exclusive Limited Edition Mewtwo Amiibo + Smash Bros Digital = Print Money, even at $320.
Here, I did the work for the writer of this article.

You can read the chat for yourself and see that he was wasn't given "only two painful options." He was also given the option to be fully refunded after an investigation was done to ascertain the facts of the matter.
Of course,, this hardly matters since thousands of folks with obvious def...
Well, if he's going to try and be a gaming "journalist", he should do a little more research to get both sides of the story... you know, the little tidbit about the "victim" only being offered $150 in refunds. The chat log screen shot this scammer put up clearly contradicted his claims. Sony stated, at the time of his complaint, that a FULL REFUND would be issued if legitimate fraud was indeed verified after an investigation to his claim.
You know,...
Hmmm, how many people here are going to openly admit to forking over $60 for a demo?
Still, that doesn't beat the rampant pedophiles in America's school system ;)
Yep, you can add to the list of sexual deviants in America with the latest news story about an American elementary teacher videotaping children and their private parts in the stalls.
3D gaming: $500 PlayStation monitor
Vita: $300 launch bundle
Move: $200 in peripherals
What do they all have in common? Eventual abandonment of support.
Now they try to get me to strap a pseudo helmet on for fake VR at the cost of another $400-500?
Gonna have to say no to this one.
Actually, the gift cards expire after 90 days.
But you are right about poor customer service and the gift card credit being cancelled if problems arise and it goes past the expiration date.
I will also add that they have a lot of sneaky disclaimers on there website and if you don't tear down the entire site to find their loopholes, they just screw you and don't respond to contacts. In essence, they avoid responsibility by way of ignoring you until yo...

Haha, say and think what you will. Obviously the point of my reply went over your head.
You do what you need to do, but you get no sympathy from me when you have complaints about the way your government does things to you, yet choose not to address the issue with the appropriate party. Instead, you are angry at your government, so you reason that makes it ok to steal/pirate from others.
If you choose to do nothing, enjoy eating t...

Ha! Fight back how, exactly? You really think the [English] government is going to give a shit about people protesting a [taxation] crackdown, or whether [colonist] have access to [freedom] or the latest [needs)? Dream on. The government here recently [taxed without representation] and when [colonist] protested, [English soldiers] threw [them in jail] and the media portrayed them as a bunch of [traitors] stirring up trouble for no reason. When people protested agai...
Fight back. If you are unjustly oppressed, stand up and fight to correct it. As opposed to saying nothing and then use them as a scapegoat to rationalize piracy (like some poster above did).
Option 1) Regurgitate and still sell out your product, or
Option 2) spend tens of millions on r&d, etc., to sell out.
Hmmm, what to do.
Yeah, because I'm sure the developers of The Order loved the free advertising they got from that YouTube who uploaded their entire storyloaded game a week before release.
Why don't you start a business. Make a product. Allow one person to buy one item from you. Then tell me it's cool with you if they digitally reproduce the content in another form and make boatloads of cash and giving you nothing.
Lmao. You know "for a fact"? Must be true since you "know for a fact", right?
Your ability to make an analogy is sorely lacking.
Agree with you. Haven't played it, so I can't say too much. However, unless the game is a seizure inducing pile of crap, how does it deserve a 20% or 40% review? I ask this because I see Skyrim and Fallout get massive praise, yet both games have game crashing glitches that has prevented me from finishing my 30-40 hour game files.
That, to me, is a bigger issue than factors that are dependent wholly on another's opinion.
It's funny you mention pride and its evils, since Kojima is hands down leagues more prideful and boastful than Konami is as a whole.
