Of course their console is safe.....the Nintendo online experience is so lacking it might as well not exist LOL.

If Sony had ANY suspicions that it would have even been possible that our personal information had been compromised than we should have been informed ASAP.

I'd much rather cancel my details just in case, then wait until it's too late.

Are you kidding me? I'd much rather play something that is interesting and challenges the mind than the latest Call Of Duty: Generic Ops Bland Shooter Edition.

As for JRPG's there are only so many times we can sit through 890735687439574389 hour grinds controlling protagonists with excruciatingly ridiculous hair cuts and dialogue that the average five year old could spit out.

I disagree with that comment. It's not necessarily the game play that sets Portal 2 ahead of the pack it's the narrative and the way it goes about things.

Rather than holding your hand with a big compass saying GO HERE and telling you exactly what to do Portal 2 leaves you to your own devices. It gives you all the tools to complete the challenge, and lets you work out the rest your own way.

Some of the puzzles you will breeze through, others you will ...

In all honesty the humour is witty and great, the story is subtle and doesn't smash you in the face like a Call of Duty. It's different to most other games out there on the market.

If you like puzzle games and want a decent co-op experience it would be hard not to recommend this great game :)

Personally I'd give it a 9.0/10

When you think about it regardless whether STEAM is used in the future for cross-platform gaming or not, Portal 2 is the first title to prove that it can be done, and done very successfully. No matter the future of STEAM and consoles, this title has paved the way for future services to enrich gaming.

HAHA Portal 2 is such a great game, but just think of the possibilities now that STEAM is cross-platform compatible

The media just needs to realise that gaming is far more advanced than Pong or Donkey Kong now. A lot of the experiences I've had with gaming far surpass the tales told in a Hollywood movie. I mean stories like Uncharted and Mass Effect are far better than the latest Spielberg epic IMO.

I constantly give games bad or mediocre scores if they deserve them. At the end of the day I have to look at a game objectively and offer the best advice I can to a reader who is thinking about buying the title.

I'm not even an RTS fan, but Shogun 2 is without a doubt, the best RTS I've played in a long time. So polished, feature set and despite the MINOR AI issues, I doubt they could really improve it a great deal.

Is the FPS a simulation type game? Not usually. Pretty sure in war enemies don't filter into corridors and wait to have their heads blown off like Call of Duty.

Think of games with real world skills on offer. Football Manager has you looking after budgets, buying and selling. At the end of that you could have some rather decent skills for a real world job.

Good point, not that I condone such actions.

I just think it's an interesting concept that you could potentially gain skills that only a select people have access to/can afford by playing videogames.

I know when the zombies come I'm more than prepared, I have Left 4 Dead to thank for that one :P

When you compare to how much a game like CoD costs to develop, market, produce and then sell to the profit margins of a game like Minecraft I think you would see a similar pattern.

Those "hardcore" games are becoming old and tired. CoD has essentially been releasing the same game since CoD 4 with different textures and gamers are getting tired of shelling out $110 every year to play the same game with a few bells and whistles.

If hardcore gamers los...

One can definitely see the focus has shifted to this Kinect bullcrap taking away games for the hardcore gamers out there. What is going to come next for hardcore 360 gamers?

Interesting thought, I had never even considered that possibility.

I'm actually really surprised Portal 2 is coming out so soon after the first one; Valve tend to really make fans wait it out between sequels, I was sure we would see HL2 Episode 3 before we saw Portal 2.

Perhaps they are scrapping Episode 2 and just making a stand alone Half-Life 3? Or perhaps Episode 3 will come out just a few months before Half-Life 3 to REALLY build up media attention. ...
