Pffft go hang out at the mall? What are you, like eleven-teen?
Instead why don't you go out and get into some adventures, take a look at the world around you and enjoy life? While you're at it stop bashing on the "nerds", judging by the fact you hang out at a gaming website means you probably fall into that category.
Xbox Live offers an experience. It's not just online play, it's access to Twitter, Facebook, Last FM (in the US at least) and Netflix. It has built a community that is a core fundamental to the success of the Xbox 360 experience. I don't mind paying for something that betters my time on the console.
All the PSN offers is a slow, average store and some crappy music service you have to pay for....I don't pay for it though, so I'm fine with it.
The PC version has dedicated servers and they aren't experiencing issues that the 360 gamers are.
Devs really need to work out a way to have dedicated servers for console games. It's just not reliable enough to have P2P multiplayer IMO.
Completely agree with FatOldMan. We reviewed the 360 version and had NOTHING but problems. The PSN is down so no one can vouch for the PS3 version yet. The PC uses dedicated servers, so that should hopefully eliminate the issues that console gamers are stuck with.
To be honest I'm really keen to check it out on PC however I refuse to pay $90 on STEAM for it. Australian game pricing is HORRIBLE!
That may be true but the whole time we tried to review the game we were only able to get into a handful of matches.
Then as you said, shit hit the fan once we were in the game so it was a bad event!
I agree with Jessupj, they should just make dedicated servers the standard!
No matter what Modern Warfare will sell through the roof, it has too strong a following to fail and I doubt it will anytime in the near future.
Shame because they are really pretty average.
Yeah I'm pretty sure you have to confirm you PS3 copy online before STEAM will allow you to register...
Ohhhhh sorry PS3 owners. I do hope the PSN comes online soon, my old man wants to play some Portal 2 Co-op with me and I have the PC version and his PC simply won't run it.
The trials and tribulations of owning an AMD K6 II :P
HAHAH I love your comment! So true but so funny!
So some of you out there would have played it?
What did you guys think? I see that there is huge potential under all the mess, and I really wish Brink would have risen to the occasion and proved that it could do well.
Unfortunately I believe we have a mess on our hands.
It's mostly the fact that the game is actually seeing a release date.
After 11 years no matter if it was a game made by god itself, it isn't going to live up to that kind of expectation.
I'm not expecting it to be amazing, but I'm sure it will be a solid shooter that is a lot of fun.
Totally agree with you on that statement. I hope it gets a fair go yet also hope it isn't filled with ignorant games looking for the next Call of Duty: Generic Ops
You're entitled to your opinion, but I must ask why you don't think you'll like this game?
I know, how exciting is it! It reminds me a lot of Team Fortress 2 with attitude, and without the stupid hats and items!
If you are a fan of the genre then you won't be disappointed!
In the meantime if you have an iPad or iPhone I recommend checking out Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP. It's damn awesome. You can check out a review here

This is the third in the series, although the previous two did have expansions.
LOL I thought it was pretty funny!
Totally agree with you there mate. I'm not going to trust them with my valuable data again!
It's nice to see an Aussie developer step out on a world stage.
