practically stealing?
fuck off, what about ea, the biggest (ab)user of the online pass blocking a user from playing their legally bought single player game because of some bad language on a forum.
that's theft, so don't give me this "online passes are good for gamers" bullshit, because they're not.
the publisher got paid for that copy of the game, that copy's access has been paid for, there is still only one person accessing the serve...
kinda cynical, i counted at least 8 environments. :)
the family guy miis are brilliant, shame there's no easy way to transfer them to wii.
they were paying him to push their sites.
i'd say they have to take responsibility.
you've got to love how the game isn't even out and all the developers can talk about is the dlc.
and this is the game they want to charge for an online pass for?
fuck you midway or whoever.
i would buy it in a heartbeat, but i live in europe which means as far as square are concerned i might as well not exist.
three way, nice. ;)
oh and samus FTW, if you ignore team ninja's take on her, and i think most people did. :)
have you not seen the videos of almost exactly the same thing as kinect running on a ps2 years ago?
but no, they're innovating. o_O
kudo, lay off the drugs man.
somebody suggested that.
Q: I'd like to purchase this cool collectible but unfortunately I can't afford to spend nearly a grand. So instead, I've purchased a new one for about $250.00 and plan to microwave it myself. Can you tell me if I can expect to get the same magnificent results that you obtained? Will my 3DS resemble yours? Will it be tranformed into an object of beauty - aesthetically pleasing to the eye, and mesmerizing the mind? Anxiously awaiting your r...
and one more thing, they're so keen to "monetise" different parts of their games, yet they still refuse to take responsibility for them.
they'll charge you for online play, yet say playing online is done at your own risk.
if the online mode goes down for days, will they compensate the players?
ea didn't and i can't see these guys being any different.
they want the benefits but none of the responsibility.
they have every right to do this, and we have every right to tell them to shove their game.
for me it's not so much about the online mode being restricted like this, but about supporting this kind of DRM, because that's what this is, and where it could lead us.
if the console market ends up like the pc market with disc games infested with drm that locks the whole game to a single user, that would finish my, and many other people's i bet, interest in gaming on console.
the reason i don't buy pc games any more is because many of them a...
i refuse to buy any game new that includes this kind of crap.
maybe preowned if it's cheap enough.
it's just a shame i wasn't going to buy the game anyway so my refusal to buy it would count as a lost sale.
if ms had fully supported hddvd by putting a hddvd drive in every xbox hddvd would likely have been the dominant hd video standard and old blurays would be going for a couple of quid, but they didn't and now it's old hddvds that are going for a couple of quid and bluray dominates.
if every 360 owner was also a potential hddvd buyer that could have swung the balance in hddvds favour.
america only, figures.
good.
19 years? really?
suddenly i feel really old.
don't give a stuff about the npd numbers personally, but anything that gets pachter to shut his cakehole is all right by me. :)
it's not so bad in the uk, stores like cex give around three quarters of the rrp for new games.
really though if you feel the store doesn't offer you enough for the game, keep it and go somewhere else, if they start losing business because of it they'll be forced to change things.
