silly me, i thought there were going forwards with these games, not backwards.
but then this would enable them to reuse all the assets from the previous two games, an important consideration now that they've turned it into an annual series.
and the psn downtime would definitely have had an effect.
how much of an effect? we'll never know, maybe the xbox version would have sold better anyway, but now there's no way we'll ever know for sure
that's good for ms, but any victory has to be tempered with the knowledge the psn downtime will have had an impact.

it would have looked much better for ms if the 360 version had outsold the ps3 version without the psn thing, that would have been a clear victory, this was not a clear voctory.

not even for gold if you buy the sub card from a store.
when you do put a card on the live system they make it a total frakking pain in the arse to remove it, but you are never actually forced to give them your card details.
why do you think they do those one month of live for a dollar/pound promotions that require a card?
