for a story driven game a manual is always useful to provide a bit of background on the characters and story, something you don;t have to worry about so much in a sports game.
but still with the feature creep in sports games these days the controls are so hideously complex, fifa 09 had like 9 pages of it's manual dedicated to the controls, that you need instructions.
and what with nearly all sports game having an online mode it's not always going to be practical to pau...

there would be benefits and disadvantages to a one console industry.

it would be good for the gamer in one way because it would mean you would have access to all the games, but it could also mean that the console manufacturers won't have to try to compete with their competitors and that is probably where most of the innovation in this industry comes from.

and as for the tech being licensed so anybody can make it, i just don't see that working, it work...

the problem wasn't putting it on other consoles, because that was never on the cards until after ms turned them down, the issue wouldn't touch the game unless they didn't release the pc and mac version.

this is the second developer criticising ms's handling of xbla and the indie games just today.

oh, and i booted up the ghostbusters sanctum of slime demo on xbox yesterday, and it had the sony pictures logo. :)

finally somebody with some clout is telling that arseclown to shut the frak up.

microsoft's role should be to bring more content to their customers, in this instance they failed, they decided that not letting anybody else have the game was more important than getting it for the xbox, and so neither of those things happened.

the phrase "cutting off your nose to spite your face" comes to mind.

that guy is such a frakking douchebag at times.

they had every right to do that, but were they right?

well it means machinarium will not see the light of day on xbox, ms's loss i say.

or rather xbox gamer's loss.

they could have had the only console version, now the ps3 will by the looks of it.

i know what they were thinking.
"this ram stuff is expensive"

i don't know why sony cheaped out on the ram, they were putting all this other expensive hardware in there, like the cell and the bluray drive, compared to that the cost of putting more ram in would have been pretty small.

i think maybe they saw ms use half a gig for the xbox and then thought that if that's what they're doing we can get away with that too.

when, was oni ever a treasured franchise?

the only thing i recall oni being renowned for was a gauge for bargain bucket prices of ps2 games.

it wasn't actually as bad as some have said, but it wasn't that great either.

they're probably working on it, just the patch wont be finished till sometime in 2017. ^_^

can we add another definition, that being the publisher taking the ability to play a legally purchased game from the person who legally purchased it.

oh and one more definition of theft.
DRM

you'd think a casual gaming system wouldn't charge people to play online.

dead space did have some rpg elements, with upgrading your weapons and rig, not heavy elements, but they were there.

5566d ago 3 agree0 disagreeView comment

not a bad idea, but one thing always bothered me about dead space, why are all the readouts for health, stasis and oxygen levels all on clarke's back?
where he can't see them.

i know it's for the sake of the game, but it's like putting lights on sam fisher's night vision goggles, totally illogical.

mind you it didn't actually stop dead space being a good game.

one thing though though bioware, can you give your ...

nintendo being backwards with their game systems again.

firstly they're barely aware of the existence of the internet, they pull this anachronistic regional lockout crap, and they don't give a toss about quality anymore, preferring a cut from the who knows how many pathetic shovelware titles.

instead of the quality that used to be nintendo's hallmark we have greed, stupidity and an overinflated ego.

nintendo are burning their brid...

maybe it's not a big deal if you're in the us, but it's a kick in the teeth if you live in europe, clearly the biggest region when taken as a whole but seemingly every single company in this industry seems to view europe as as afterthought.

5568d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

in what way does that fight piracy?
if anything it will increase it, if they make sure people can't legally buy and play a title they'll turn to other means.

did you read the article?
microsoft are publishing the title, i think they have to take some responsibility for the price.

you are aware right that any romance option, male or female, gay or straight is entirely optional, you can be nice to them all the time even give them gifts at every opportunity till you get their friendship level at max and still say no to any romance.

i can't recall a time when you couldn't reject any romance options, though i did have a quick playthrough, about 24 hours and didn't even meet a couple of the characters, isabela and fenris.
