that would be a good move on sony's part i'd say.

make sure they only develop for the ps3, and whatever console sony comes out with next.

certainly a better idea than selling the developers of your best selling games.

i'm not sure this would be a good thing.

the reason console games can look so good when compared with similarly specced pcs is that they have standardised hardware.
every console has the exact same processor, the exact same graphics card and the exact same amount of ram, not enough am i right? ^_^
that means the developers can hit the hardware directly without having to go through middleware, and although middleware is designed to allow developers to use t...

that's exactly what i was going to say.

cautious optimism FTW.

panzer dragoon saga, only this time release more than five bloody copies.
maybe then i can play past the end of the first disc.

analyst michael pachter?

that's spelled wrong.

it's spelled douchebag michael pachter surely.

anyway, the hardware does look nice, and i expect it will be expensive, and that analyst, i mean douchbag, pachter will tell us we should be grateful we'll actually get anything back in exchange for the honour of giving our money to these companies.

i guess that also means he'll be right for once, but then even a brok...

the thing is, those old games didn't restrict saves to a town or other select locations because it was a design choice, they did it because they had to, because if the game had any permenant storage it was too small to save data out in the feild, you had to save in set locations where you only have to store like a couple of bytes for location, because there are only a few possible locations to save from.

i did manage to beat sonic 2 first time around, that is when it was ...

the ps3 already has google search on the xmb, so chrome is plausible.

the ps3 browser isn't perfect but it's still decent enough for a lot of site.
the bbc iplayer and youtube work, mostly.
but it would be good to get a new browser, chrome especially, that's the one i usually use on my pc.

if sony provided a way for these people to code for the ps3 legally without having to spend thousands on dev kits then there would be fewer people trying to hack the machine.

it's not like sony haven't done this before.
there was the net yaroze for ps1, i played a few of the games people created with that, they had the linux kit for ps2, but i don't know what if anything was created from that.

ms seem to be doing well with xna and the indi...

i do agree that making move optional would be the way to go, not forcing players to use it.

i've never actually used move myself so i can't give an opinion one way or another as to how accurate it is.

but i would speculate that move is significantly more accurate than the wiimote would be, i've got a wii and it's not the most accurate pointing device in the world, i don't know if the motion plus add on would make any difference.

a proper big budget live action movie would be bloody awesome, but this will also be pretty cool, hopefully.
it would be cool if it got released theatrically, we don't get much anime in cinemas any more.

seriously, some of the japanese developers are mental.
but in a good way.

5439d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

why?
i assume you're after a more sophisticated answer than $$$ cha-ching.

they saw how much money nintendo are making and thought let's go after that, even if it means neglecting most of their userbase.

i'm no fan of move either but at least sony aren't neglecting their core gamers.

5439d ago 8 agree3 disagreeView comment

ms showed they will abandon their userbase in a heartbeat when they launched the 360 and instantly killed off the xbox.
now kinect has sold very well that will be their main focus now, and if you don't care about kinect it's looking like ms won't have anything for you.
well there is gears 3, but after that i can't think of any non kinect titles ms are publishing for the 360 this year.

5439d ago 7 agree2 disagreeView comment

they could risk a little bit more, to see the product come to market and potentially make some money off it, or just throw years of work down the drain..
of course we all know which way they chose to go.

like most publishers they chose short term thinking.

there was a sega console released last year though.

never been, and probably never will be, interested in kinect.

don't care for move either.

i do have a wii, but i play more gamecube games on that than wii games, that could change when xenoblade comes out though.

just knowing the sun exists raises my blood pressure.

the paper, not the big fiery ball of burning gas, i'm quite fond of that sun.

murdoch's so called newspaper can die and go to hell for all i care, in fact if every single one of his propaganda machines round the world spontaneously imploded today i think the world would be a much better place for it.

remember, the sun and fox news are all part of the same media business.

it is, they like to pretend they're a serious paper, but that rag is a bloody joke.
the first time in months they had actual news on the front was after the japanese tsunami.

the soon returned to printing pictures of beckham or that trollop jordon.

seriously, on most days you'll be lucky to see any real news before page 20.

oh, and if any sun editors are reading this i couldn't give a bloody stuff about the royal wedding s...

i don't know about that, the unreal 3 engine may not be the most advanced out there any more, but it's proven itself to be pretty versatile.
running most game genre, from fps to mmos.

if they used the unreal engine they could do it multiformat too, ps3 and 360.
