The main thing i've been wondering is that because it's strictly digital distribution, are there going to be games that are available to download that otherwise wouldn't have fit on a umd?
I know sony isn't trying to divide the 2 systems (psp go/psp3000) but there has to be some exclusives eventually for the psp go, it makes sense to me.
Me personally, i can't wait for the psp go, i am definitely getting this thing the day it hits stores. In fact, i just checked amaz...
Considering that the original Red Steel was rushed to completion and was ultimately an extremely buggy and broken game it looks like they are doing the same with second, rush it out to meet the motion plus launch and not bother to correct it's problems.
I gotta admit though, the art style looks pretty cool.
natal definitely does seem fishy. I realize it's not complete yet but i really don't see how much fun or accurate playing a game like gears or alan wake or anything thats deemed "hardcore" will be. It looks like it'll be perfect for mini games though. Also, with all this tech thats built into it i can't imagine this thing being cheap. Were any potential prices announced or any speculation on it?
I gotta comment on the racing and skateboarding, it looks so ridiculous. Ju...
I said the game looks fun and i also acknowledged that i realize it's not finished yet. All i was doing was pointing out how it should have been on the BAD list, because demoing a game at e3 with a visibly potential game crashing glitch is definitely a BAD thing.
seriously, the controller looks pretty solid, and you could tell they were having fun and most of the people in the audience were laughing with them not at them it seemed like. I definitely didn't think it was a bad showing of motion controls for sony.
shadow complex should have been under the BAD list
the game looks fun but can you say "glitch"
how this got completely overlooked it beyond me, i noticed it while watching live. It's actually pretty funny, but the sad thing is, is that if this happened to sony or nintendo N4G would be flooded with articles exploiting the glitch.
Also, i realize shadow complex isn't finished but it obviously needs some extensive QA before it gets released.
ditto
this article had no mention of mod nation racers which was shown extensively and looks absolutely fantastic.
Also no mention of the exclusive new IP from R* or FF XIV.
???
good news for people who actively participate in home. I hardly use home but i do think it's really cool of sony to create something and it's showing alot of potential. Also, i don't understand why so many people bash home and say that sony blew it. It's free, look at the other consoles, you have mii parades and avatars. The only thing that the 360 has going for it as far as avatars will be the feature to watch movies together with friends. If home ever gets that i guarantee i will be in home...
i think one of the best announcements at sony conference was mod nation racers. That game is gonna be so awesome. Games with strong online communities (LBP) are awesome. The user made levels in LBP destroy the levels that are on the disc. I can't wait to see what the online community will create for this game. It's gonna be a blast.
i know shadow complex isn't complete yet but it looked like it glitched hard at the very end of the demo, i need to go back and watch it. To me it looked like the guy was frozen in mid air, and then suddenly the guy playing paused the game
edit
Yea here it is, this is exactly what im talking about.
i liked forza 3 better when it was called rad racer
lol
kidding.
forza 3 looks good but gran turismo is the definitive driving simulator. It goes without question. This developer is just hyping his game up like a complete idiot. The games aren't even coming to market at the same time so all this talk is pointless. Also, his trash talk isn't gonna snag any people who are waiting for gran turismo 5 because they'll just end up buying gran turismo on the psp.
lol, how is that?
wow
microsoft employees are just as bad as the fanboys that roam these articles.
uh huh
i hope consoles never abandon controllers completely though.
awesome news, the wii could have been so awesome if it was 1:1 motion on launch day, but now the wii is forever flooded with mini game comps and i doubt the conduit or the other HVS games will change it.
As for the ps3, im sure it'll get it's share of mini game compilations but imagine a star wars game with 1:1 motion control in 720/1080p. How awesome would that be.
great summary.
Microsoft did have a good conference but sony clearly had the best line up as far as games go. So many great titles coming out over the next 12 months, it's awesome. When i get done with one game there will be another AAA title a month or so away from release. The future looks bright.
The game looks awesome. I've been following it for a while now.
good for them that it's going multi platform. Im pretty sure that the game is from a new company and they could probably use all the money they can get
lets watch someone run on a bridge and turn switches.
i agree completely with the satisfaction of being able to physically own something but in this case, a handheld, i don't mind having digital distribution. Now for my wii and ps3, i want all my games on disc.
