i think the wiimote by itself is limited as to what it can do, but given the right game and developers the wiimote can be capable of great things.
The Godfather on the wii is a perfect example. Grabbing people and tossing them around. I honestly think that the godfather is the best wii game as far as motion controls go (not ir pointing). Head butting people and whatnot, it's awesome and works great. I don't think the game sold too well though which is a shame.

i really want this game, level-5 are extremely talented developers, so im expecting great things. There's videos on youtube of a kid playing the majority of the game, he skips all cutscenes though so theres no spoilers. The game looks like alot of fun. I can't wait to play online with people.

I don't think anyone is gonna surpass nintendo anytime soon in the sales department.
I still think the wii is the weakest out of all 3 systems though. How many peripherals can you have? Wii fit is pretty much useless outside of the game it comes bundled with and the vitality sensor, i have no idea what that is about.
So yes, nintendos strategy worked flawlessly but i feel like the original fans of nintendo have to suffer because of this new found success.

Square is becoming extremely irrelevant. I bought chrono trigger on the ds and it's a solid game but their new titles are extremely iffy. 10 years ago, if someone were to say that square would turn into a sequel/spin off riddled cash cow they would be labeled insane.
