good lord, i really need to see this footage of alan wake that all the fanboys saw. Because all i saw was a guy with a flashlight running around aiming at floating things. I seriously thought i was watching Alone in the Dark.

The trailer is setting us up for what looks to be like an extremely engaging story that i personally think is gonna be emotionally exhausting. it's probably been on the back burner or in conceptual stages for a while. I really doubt they've been actively developing a game for 5 years. Something would have leaked
yea i absolutely love mario kart (except for the wii one) and i also love little big planet's community. This game looks like it's take the best of both those worlds. I can't wait for this, definitely day one purchase for me. It's gonna be so much fun.

the game looks cool, hopefully it's not pay to play, and i hope it incorporates a great story line, but just dungeon raids like in WOW. Has there ever been an MMO on a console before? I think the original xbox had some but i don't remember ever seeing any mmo's on consoles. This might push alot of units for sony.
Also, i really enjoy the art style that they are taking and the music on the website is awesome. Reminds me a lot of final fantasy 6.
alan wake looks alright, the graphics are good but nothing mind blowing. It looks like alone in the dark meets secret window.
yea, alan wake definitely has my interest and it might end up being the game that makes me buy a 360, but from people here hyping it up i thought it was gonna be extremely scary and the gameplay didn't look that way at all. Maybe i missed something. Im gonna keep an eye on it though.

Microsoft's press conference was pretty good, but i have to comment on 2 things.
Alan Wake doesn't look that great to me, that's just my opinion. I think the story sounds top notch but the gameplay didn't really look like anything special to me. it actually reminded me of along in the dark
As for Halo: ODST, that thing looks like absolute trash.
Other than that the conference was pretty good. Can't wait to see what nintendo has in store for us.
im perfectly happy controllers, i dont want to stand in a room and move around like an idiot.
by single player i meant story driven titles like metroid prime 3, uncharted, dragon quest. Stuff like that. I mainly have to get these experiences on my ps3 or ds. Punch Out on the other hand, it seemed like a waste of money to me but the more i hear about it the more fun it seems, i might buy it next month or so.

yes true, but casual gamers aren't running into stores to get their hands on a 360
i completely agree, i can play skate 1 & 2 literally for hours.
This past winter it was so cold out, i played skate 2 for 11 hours straight. I didn't mean to but the time flew by and before i knew it it was dark outside. Also, the amount of time i've put into that game and i still haven't seen the entire city.

seriously, tony hawk has been on a downward spiral ever since 2 came out.
tony hawk ride looks absolutely horrible. Skate has a deathgrip on what skateboarding games should be, tony hawk games are completely irrelevant now.
If this to be true that tony hawk ride is exclusive to the 360, i predict broken ankles to be exclusive to the 360 all across america this fall/winter.
ps. thats me hating on the game, not the 360...

Microsoft definitely had the flashiest show but the games (except for the new splinter cell) didn't really pack a punch. Alan Wake looks promising but it looks too much like alone in the dark for my tastes.
